Usyk's toughest fight to this day was Briedis, who spent long periods boxing with Usyk and counterpunching him.
Fury's best period was rounds 3-6 in the first fight, when he was out boxing Usyk and walking him onto upper cuts. Hell, even Bellew had some brief success walking Usyk into right hands.
None of these guys could sustain it of course, because Usyk of course made the adjustments and also had far better fitness down the stretch.
But it's still far better to try that than to just try bumrush the guy. In what world can you just rush an elite boxer? He will knock you out every time.
Before anyone says "but Chisora", you clearly didn't watch that fight. It was an obvious 8-4 fight where Usyk had him hurt multiple times after round 7 and could have stopped him if he wanted to go up a gear but was being nice. That fight was not close.
Parker definitely throws his left hook better, and is much better in the clinch than he used to be.
He's still very low output though so I don't see him beating Usyk. And I think Kabayel is the better fighter.
Don't worry, this dude Ringo is just obsessed with Parker to the point he's saying people fear Andy Lee... Just because he's Parkers trainer.
What he's unable to do is point to any reason why anyone would fear Andy Lee or any achievements he's had as a trainer.
Re. Your left hook comment, Joe Joyce absolutely destroyed Parker with the jab and left hook, he couldn't miss. Left hooks only look good when you face someone who can't throw one back.
Somebody woke up and had dumbflakes for breakfast.
Why are you asking questions 'we' already know the answer to ?
Sorry champ but your neediness doesnt trump your worthyness.
I'm done with you Have a great life!
Yes we do know the answer don't we? That's why you refuse to answer.
I'll help.
What has Andy Lee done as a trainer?
The answer = NOTHING
Wasn't so hard was it?
Typical armchair champion talk. It's funny to read an armchair champion tell the peanut gallery how to beat the unbeatable Usyk.
Keith Head you gotta get the WBC to rank you in the top ten and ask Usyk for your shot.
What has Andy Lee done as a trainer?
Why don't you ever answer lol (we know why really)

Mmmhmmm...yeah sure champ. Whatever you say. Now take your meds and have a wee lie down.
There's a good champ!

Figuring out Usyk isn't the problem.
The other is that you have to figure him out, figure out the adjustments he makes, adjust, figure out the adjustments he makes, adjust.
If you can do that then you'll have a chance. Of course he might be able to adjust again. No-one has ever got far enough to find out.
Shot AJ and Fury both won 4 arguably 5 rounds against Usyk.
I'm pretty sure there's plenty in history who could do that plus another 2 or 3 rounds.

Fury had the right plan and technical ability. He was beating Usyk up at times.
Problem is he couldn't sustain it. Usyk makes you work very hard and Fury isn't the fighter he was 5 years ago. Hasnt got the legs anymore, he's nowhere near as mobile as he was and poor lifestyle choices catch up with you.
Fury of a few years earlier vs Usyk may have looked different but we'll never know because he didn't live the life and that's on him.
Their first fight was very high level stuff from both. I'd still say Fury is no.2 and the only one that can go skill for skill with Usyk at times, as he did. He had the right idea to win stylistically. But in theory and reality are two different things, which is why Usyk is 2-0.
The likes Dubois are way too basic and approach fights in the exact way Usyk prefers. Even this version of Fury would school Dubois because he's tailor made for a motivated Fury too. Big basic upright fighter coming in straight lines, you're not beating Usyk like that, or Fury, as long as they're not completely shot.
Nah...he was a naive fresh faced kid still eating burger king for breakfast and trained by a shonky grifter.
Prime AJ couldnt put a dent in him and needed the refs help to win.
And Usyk sure as fück aint knocking him out either!
He was in his Prime, a World Champion.
Kevin Barry, Parkers trainer at the time has achieved far more than Andy Lee as a trainer.
Parker has fixed his left hook recently which he used to slap with. That's important, particularly when fighting a southpaw.
But he is still very low output...even lower output than he used to be and seems to not have the stamina to really put guys away. I really can't see how he would keep up with Usyk for 6 rounds, let alone 12.
I think Kabayel would have a better chance.
Still, I would love to see both fights. If Usyk beats those two then he truly has cleaned out the division.
Yes the new "aggressive" Parker threw less punches vs old men Zhang and wilder than he did against Joyce when he was "sick"
Can't wait for the ridiculous Parker hype to be put to bed.

2025 Parker is not the same Parker that fought AJ nor anyone else.
The Parker that fights Usyk will have all the patches and upgrades to compete as an equal.
The better man with the better plan will win on the night.
Yeah, he was World Champion and in his Prime when AJ beat him.
Now he's chinny and old. He would be knocked out within 3.
Dubois, Fury, AJ are not pressure fighters, none of them
Dubois isn't a come forward destroyer like that
Someone would have more success with a come forward pressure style vs Usyk if they were a come forward pressure fighter.
Chisora is a come forward pressure fighter... With 4 rounds of gas.
He came in moving his head, ducking low, cutting the ring off, that's why he gave Usyk problems..
For 4 rounds
Dubois got sparked so easily because he tried to use a style that isn't his style, his style also doesn't work against Usyk so he may as well have risked it.
Agreed but thanks to Chisora everyone from media to fighters to fans obsess over making it a dog fight which plays to his strengths and this really overdone notion he is weak to the body. Every fighter tries this and they've all had very limited success yet they keep doing it over and over. Its not working!
You have to counter him and anticipate his movement. Look to catch him on his way in and exits.
I'd have thought it would be more obvious tbh you only have to look at fighters with somewhat similar styles throughout history. Teofimo vs Lomachenko for one, Manny Pacquaio vs Marquez fights and so on
It won't ever be easy he's a brilliant technician but they have no chance if fighting the wrong kind of fight.
Its like sending out fighters to box with Floyd Mayweather or something, its insane.
Cue the Mighty Oilskin Parker and Shifu Andy Lee.
Parker would be the most accomplished pure boxer Usyk will have faced as a heavy with a coach that will have studied Usyk for every concievable weakness and developed a plan to exploit it.
It will be a game of pugilistic chess between honourable fighters and gentlemen.
Not sure about this, Parker did get outboxed by AJ, he has limits and when against a fighter who is superior he will devolve into circling around the ring and throwing a light jab.

I don't think Parker has the stamina to keep up with Usyk. Would be gassed after round 5 like he normally does against the higher output fighters.
You can't do what you can't do. Dublin wasn't going to defeat Usyk boxing and counter punching. I think Dubois would have had to channel his inner Chisora to give himself the best possible chance.
Easier said than done but I think Daniel's best chance was to get physical and body Usyk up whenever possible. Physical strength being the only advantage Dubois possessed.
I honestly don't even think he has that advantage. Usyk is a wrestler and extremely strong in the clinch. He was easily throwing Fury of him who is usually a bully in the clinch.
