This is a really good fight, not sure who wins that, let's not put too much stock on the win over Berlanga who is not elite.
Yeah
Many people are now giving Sheeraz the benefit of the doubt that he really did struggle with the weight and had a bad hand Vs Adames and that's why he really lost.
I do think that's partly true, but it's also worth remembering Adames is better than Berlanga too, so that's probably also part of why he looked much better Vs Berlanga.
So I still think we need to see Sheeraz in with some real top 5 fighters to see his real level, to see If he is as good as he looked on Saturday, or if he'd still struggle with fighters on the level of Adames with no excuses about weight and hand injuries..
One thing's for certain, he can bang, has a nice punch selection and is a world class finisher if he hurts you..
Plus he iced Berlanga in a way proven top fighters like Canelo couldn't, if has to count for something.
I'm just interested to see him in with some more really solid fighters at 168 and find out just how good he is with no excuses about being weight drained.
It would be an interesting fight. Charlo didn't look great against Cornflake in my opinion. Recency bias sometimes influences is and that may be the case for Sheeraz (and Berlanga for that matter). Edgar was given credit for surviving Canelo but he's the same guy who struggled with Rolls and Coceres.
Charlo past his prime a bit but still wily and dangerous. Sheeraz is fill of potential. I'd like to see it.
as much as i want to see sheeraz go all the way, i don't think he should fight charlo, the charlos have historically good at fighting these type of fighters
This. Berlanga is not on the same level as Charlo. Active or not.
Lamanna is not on the same level as Sheeraz. Both need to prove themselves against a better opponent: each other. Both want Canelo. I'd rather see the winner fight Canelo.

I'm not convinced Charlo can keep Sheeraz off of him.
Charlo didn't look shot against Cornflake but he looked beatable against a livedog. Plus you never know where his mental is at these days.
I don't think Sheeraz will be willing to wait around for 3 years until the next time Charlo feels like fighting.
He should focus on fighting active fighters and contenders. Not popular names from a 5 years ago.
