He's had some good wins lately, BUT...
Zhang: 40, no gas tank, Kabayel stood in front of him and stopped him
Wilder: 40, shot, poleaxed by Zhang, nothing left
Bakole: 40 stone, fat, jet lag, schooled by that Nigerian bum
Fact is all 3 of parkers recent impressive wins have INSTANTLY aged horribly, and there's nothing to suggest he's any better of a fighter than got ko by Joe Joyce
The same morons that sh.it on Parker for beating Wilder, Zhang and Bakole hype Wilder for losing to Parker and Zhang. They also hype Kabayel for beating Makhmudov, injured Sanchez and Zhang.
Come to your senses, dorks.
If that fight happens, both guys have balls of steel. Either one of them stands to inherit a belt just by waiting. Taking such a dangerous fight with either a title shot or an email belt guaranteed if they don't fight each other is to be commended.
I would put some money on Parker. And Parker never ducked anybody.
Parker has no 0 to defend. Can Kabayel do to a good mover what can he do to the big stiffs?

I got Kabayel retiring paint dry.

Parker was all up in Dubois head by taking away his aggression and practically killing him with kindness.
Sniffles needs the trash talk as the extra motivation to dig deep and fight like it means something.
Miller, Hrgovic and Joshua all tried to outstaunch the speshal kid but it didn't work.
Gentleman Joe did the opposite and that was more intimidating. I reckon Usyk will do the same. No drama, no smack talk just another day at the office where he shows the big doobie who his daddy is!
As for Parker's next fight. I'd like to see Joshua put his mouth where Fast Eddie's money is and call the mighty Oilskin out.
Its a fast track to mando and interim plus it's practically a grudge match cos of the shonky reffing for AJ's first distance win 7 years ago.

IDK why Parker gets ragged on, he's an overachiever considering his skillset and attributes. He doesn't come across arrogant, he's always a super nice guy. And he has been taking a lot of fights against boxers, at the time, others didn't want to face.
He doesn't have a rabid fan base either (like how Fury/AJ/Wilder had). The one drawback is he isn't the most exciting fighter but he always gives it everything.
This is silly.
Bakole is 33. He was fat because Dubois ducked the eliminator and they needed a replacement on 3 week notice.
Wilder was 37 when they fought, and was a 6-1 favorite over Parker.
Zhang was coming off 2 beating of Joyce.
Parker is the one who fought in the title eliminator, he's the one who deserved the title shot. You don't reward fighters for ducking like they're doing Dubois.
I watched Parker vs Ruiz Jr with a room full of new zealanders, they were silent and downcast at the final bell as all thought Ruiz Jr had won but I told them not to worry as it was somewhat close and Parker would be given the crooked win.
Cool story. Parker threw more punches than Ruiz, he also landed more punches 119-107. Rafael had the fight 115-113 for Parker and BLH had the fight 114-114.
First you said it was a "robbery" now you say it was "somewhat close". I saw the fight and thought it could go either way as did most boxing pundits who reported on it.
Parker has improved a good amount after switching from Barry to Lee. He used to fight scared...his offense consisted of a jab and throw an overhand right and lunge into a clinch. He never looked like he was trying to win fights. Different looking fighter with Lee, he actually tries to inflict some damage and looks more confident in the ring.
Also, Ruiz wasn't robbed against Parker. Neither fighter really did anything and the hometown fighter got the nod (shocker), Whyte beat him in a close fight off a headbutt and was nearly stopped at the end.
Parker is a solid fighter, nothing exceptional. He's a good athlete, hits hard enough and has a decent chin. He's not overrated, he just has been willing to fight whomever and wins those fights more often than he loses. I'm not even a Parker fan but I feel like I have to check some of these crazy comments in this thread.

He throws more punches now than he used to, and he's in better shape.
Back when he was fighting guys like Junior Fa and Alex Leapai I was ready to give up on him ever beating anybody with a pulse again, let alone top 10 opposition. He was a sluggish, timid fighter with poor punch output and no gas tank for at least three years after the Joshua loss even in fights he won. The Chisora fights are what brought the dog back out of Parker.
I'm not saying he'd beat Usyk or even take 4 rounds off the guy, but I think it's silly to say Parker has not improved as a fighter. Go back and watch him against Fa and Leapai. Fa is a no-hoper and Leapai was 900 years old, and Parker looked considerably worse against them than he did against Zhang, Bakole, or Wilder. Again, you can asterisk those three Parker opponents if you want but they were still better that Junior freaking Fa.

Man, Joshua like 4 years and 20 fights younger than Wilder, and nobody cutting Wilder this kind of slack for career end loses.
Unfortunately wilder doesn't have good world level wins to fall back on, I agree with what you are saying though wilder is clearly shot.

Any moron should be able to see how much the Ortiz and Fury fights took out of Wilder.
Joshua in 2018 was an entirely different beast than Joshua in 2024. Might as well compare GGG from the third Canelo fight to the GGG who beat Daniel Geale.
