The only way Crawford could beat Canelo would be if he tried what Khan tried. Khan was actually outboxing Canelo, confusing him with his speed, bot got chined.
But Khan was realy fast than and in his prime and the fight was at 160 or even 155 catchweight, I don't care to check now.
Crawford will probably be slower than Canelo. Another reason I believe this will be easy for ginger.
Think yall either didn't watch that fight or have hazy memories. Canelo started slow, by the 3rd round he was hounding Khan around the ring and dominating the fight.
Prior to the KO, Canelo won rounds 4 and 5 on all 3 judges' scorecards. Per Compubox, he outlanded Khan in rounds 3-6.
This is funny. Khan had elite handspeed but no power to hurt Canelo and he knew it. He clearly drew out the fight and could have ended it early if he wanted to. He took some shots knowing he wasn’t in danger of being hurt and waited for his moment to get the highlight reel KO.
Bud is too smart to go in there and get reckless early. That’s a recipe to get brutally knocked out. The question is if Bud isn’t aggressive early due to the size difference and feels he is down on the cards how many risks will he take.
Canelo has cement shoes and isn’t fluidly mobile
Maybe once twice he might try to swarm in but I believe Canelo’s feet won’t be problem at all
Bud knows he’s going in there not knock him out but to outbox him
I think he has a pretty damn chance of winning as long as he doesn’t get caught and sticks to his plan
Not saying he’ll be running , I doubt it because in all reality he does enjoy engaging and this will be his swan song
Canelo IS flat-footed but he's also probably the best in the business at cutting off the ring and landing combinations. In other words, he always seems to find a way to get to his man and unload damage. Also, don't forget that Mayweather probably had the best footwork and movement in the business and boxed the head off Canelo yet he still received a DRAW on one scorecard!
I think you're severely underestimating the pull Canelo has of being boxing's #1 cash cow as mentioned in my post above. Don't forget, this is for ALL the marbles in Canelo's most dominant weight class and if Bud were to win, he'd be the FIRST man in history to win the undisputed championship in 3 weight classes. The question is, will the house ALLOW that to happen? I don't think so and the favourable scorecards Canelo received against GGG, Lara, Mayweather, Khan and even Bivol are PROOF.
I think two judges had khan behind on the cards which is crazy.
That’s what I said before…GGG beat him twice and received a draw and a loss whereas according to CompuBox, Bivol landed double the number of punches and outlanded him in ALL 12 rounds yet was only awarded victory by the narrowest of margins (115-113 on all 3 cards). He also received a draw on one scorecard against Mayweather too.
Canelo is the new Mayweather and boxing’s #1 cash cow who must be protected at all times so imagine how DOMINANT Crawford needs to be in order to win the undisputed championship and make history!
Tbh I think it was a combination of BOTH...Bud definitely seemed 'uncomfortable' with some of Madrimov's punches but was also confused by his awkward amateur style as you already pointed out. Also, if you look at the CompuBox stats, Crawford only landed 11 punches more overall. Therefore, it remains to be seen how he handles Canelo's power 2 weight divisions HIGHER plus Canelo is also an ELITE fighter unlike Madrimov who has faced every style possible and come out on top for the most part. Still, I expect Crawford to be his toughest test to date since Bivol.

yeah khan showed how to get ko'd.
crawford should not follow what khan did because crawford doesnt have the hand speed.
crawford need to be on the move but also counter instead of just moving around like scull did...
this is how you beat canelo... move and counter when you see an opening.
if crawford stand and trade like khan did, crawford goes to sleep.
if crawford move like scull did, crawford will lose on the scorecards..
crawford need to move and throw punches that actually lands on canelo.
canelo is not hard to hit, crawford just need to be on the go and throw punches that counts/lands.
I’ll give you that I, I had the same impression of him being gun shy against Madrimov but for me it wasn’t it wasn’t the full weight of the punches but more like Madri’s style
You could tell Bud was bothered by it and his footwork has never been his forte
The styles contrasted and that imo , is what threw him off and worried about gettting countered and dropped
Kava gave Bud all kinds of problems until he figured him out late in the fight
That knockdown was Bud moving right towards it

Gamboa wobbled him a few times at Lightweight whereas Kava dropped him at Welterweight. Therefore, it remains to be seen how Crawford's chin holds up 2 weight divisions higher than he's currently fighting at against Canelo who can definitely punch. Crawford also seemed a little gun-shy against Madrimov after feeling the full weight of his punches. Also, Ali was a career Heavyweight whereas Crawford will be fighting in his fifth weight class so it's NOT a like-for-like comparison.

The fight you speak of was 11 years ago vs Gamboa and he still took him apart by the 9th round
Kava was 6 years ago
What’s your point ???
Ali got dropped 4 times , care to explain

Lmao you people expecting Bud to fight like Floyd did are the most ignorant casual fans in the house
This might be Bud’s last fight BUT now he’s going to try and portray another fighter

Khan's chin was actually holding up pretty well for half the fight until Canelo landed a bazooka with his full body weight behind it. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how Crawford handles Canelo's power because although he has a pretty SOLID chin, we've seen him do the stanky leg against Gamboa and get dropped by Kava before.

Khan did really well in that fight and hindsight is 20/20 but the chances of Khan surviving 36 minutes in the ring with Canelo without getting chinned? Respectfully, it's 0. Literally 0%.

Crawford's not studying Khan, he's studying the Mayweather match.
The problem here is that Crawford is not a boxer like Mayweather is, he's more of an aggressive counter puncher, their styles are totally different.
Plus, Bud's old and fighting a guy almost 3 weight classes apart.
Exactly.
Why is everybody still pretending Crawfoird will fight Canelo at 154?
