Not getting as much attention as Pacquiao but it's very similar. You can factor in just how old 42 is when Nonito is fighting at the lower weight class where even more reflex and timing is needed. So I think that kind of adds to the age. 42 might as well be 46 at Bantamweight.
What is up with these dudes? lol
Why do you hate her so much? Why does it bother you that his formerly elite athlete wife is involved in his training camps? Nobody said he won or lost solely because of her, but the fact that he went into a world title fight with her as a trainer and won by KO would indicate maybe they know what they're doing.
no, that was all on donaire and the perfect opponent... because look what happened when he face Inoue. he loss terribly. donaire was trained by his pops in the 1st inoue fight, and went the distance... then donaire got with world class trainer Rachel, and we saw what happened. stopped in the 2nd round, no game plan whatsoever. but hey, Rachel know what's she's doing.....

i dont hate her. i just think she's not qualify at a pro boxing level to be a boxing trainer nor a s/c coach. that's all. donaire feels otherwise. so it's all good, it's his career and his body, some folks link up with real trainers when the time comes and elevate their careers, while some settle for "could have" been. imagine if pac would have just stuck with buboy. that's all. i made this clear on my first post that donaire "could have" been a lot better. it's not hate, it's just my observation and opinion, and everyone has an opinion, so why are you coming at me like im dissing nonito.
i know that... i was making fun of her being his trainer as if it means anything. donaire won because of him, not because of being trained by rachel. LOL.
she also trained him when he got mopped up by Inoue. did you purposely leave this one out?

.... she was. She trained and cornered him in a fight where he won a world title by knockout.

Cumulative brain damage is a factor hard to predict but if you've had success and can afford to retire, do so while you can still enjoy your life. Nonito has had, and lost, 2 important fights in a row, things are unlikely to improve going forward.
Yeah, but that could just be genetics. Not everyone is meant to be ripped. Remember Baby Bull Juan Diaz? That dude had crazy stamina but had one of the softest bodies at 130lbs. I think some people are just blessed to lose the fat in areas where others retain it.
That or they're so gifted that even not training to their absolute fullest allows them to have that type of stamina, but then the body will not look better. It's possible, but considering how effective both, Donaire and Juan Diaz were while not having bodies that looked 100% in shape makes me think it's just genetics working against them.
It is that.
How someone looks aesthetically is predominantly genetics.
lmao!! thanks for the laugh. just like how his wife was his boxing trainer in the later half of his career.

- - Like to fight and have the stuff to do it win/lose/draw.
It ain't like l'l floydy getting beat up pillar to post after guaranteeing his fans he was gonna KO Logan Paul in his self inflated exhibitions.
you are speaking so confidently out of ignorance, his body type is endomorph, he is physically unable to have a six pack. what a joke, keyboard nutritionist telling a 1st ballot hofer and arguably the hardest hitter ever at the lowest weights who essentially was a world champion into his 40s that he needs to work on his strength and conditioning
more lies from you. why are you mad at my opinion? did i say anything bad about donaire? jesus man. keyboard warriors? but you are the one trying to act tough here. i never said he doesnt hit hard! i never said he's not champion! wtf is wrong with you? all i said was that it's weird that i've never seen donaire ripped of even close it to. is this Rachel on a burner account?
nah, especially at this level, where you have a s/c coach and to not have a ripped body is weird. I believe it's just that the s/c work he does, he's not concentrating on getting ripped, he probably train more on cardio, etc.. and that's fine. Like if you look at donaire, he doesn't have any muscle definition at all.

i am not saying if he loses then it's because he didnt train or didnt take care of himself.... i was making an observation that thru out his whole career, i never saw donaire ripped or anything close to it. he always has a "dad bod" lol.. he always has slightly body fat especially his stomach and waist area.

Donaire is always in shape. His wife is his strength and conditioning coach and she was a US collegiate and US military taekwondo champion.
Donaire sleeps like 14 hours a day, eats healthy, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, and cuts very little weight. He was also one of the first to sign up for all the expanded voluntary/random testing drug programs.
If he loses it won't be because he didn't train or didn't take care of himself. It will just be age.

Nonito was a world champion until two fights ago. He fought for a world title in his last night - he came up short but landed plenty of bombs of his own.
If he can still hang at the world-championship level, calling on him to retire is silly.
Hell, this is the first non-title fight for Donaire in fifteen years. If he looks bad against this tuneup opponent, sure, maybe think about retiring. But if he blasts this dude out in a couple rounds, I say keep on keeping on.
donaire could have been a lot better had he got with a real trainer early on. his pops was cool, but his pops aint a real trainer. plus, i never seen donaire in great shape. dude was never ripped or even close to it. kinda makes you wonder if he even does any s/c training. donaire rely too much on his power. he just walks forward and throw some looping wide shots.

Nonito should probably hang it up but it's a way different situation than Pacquiao.
Pacquiao last fought 4 years ago and last won 6 years ago, and is 46.
Donaire last fought 3 years ago and last won 4 years ago, and is 42.
