Let's take a trip down memory lane, how would Floyd Mayweather Jr. have fared against these fighters had he not retired in 2007? | BoxingScene Community
I wasn't much of a boxing fan in my teens so I didn't get a chance to see any of these fighters in their primes but how do you think Floyd Mayweather would have done against these other top welterweight at the time? Tapology says Mayweather retired in 2007 and then came back and fought Juan Manuel Marquez in 2009. I'm guessing that was a tuneup to shake off ring rust since Marquez was picked from the Lightweight division.

Lol. Yeah right he woulda shoulda coulda beat him in 2009 as well if he wasn't scared, on vacation, retired, or his hands wasn't hurtin'.
Who said the following in a bltch assed tone of voice :) -
"A tablespoon worth of my blood without AT LEAST 14 days notice.....I feel faint just thinking about it :crying:......"
Coward
May > Pac as well :lol1:, coward !

May > them all
Margarito and Kermit being the easiest
Paul would have posed the more difficult of the bunch
SRL looked like a Smurf next to Tommy
May would have looked even shorter vs Paul.
Yes he woulda shoulda coulda beat them all had he not been too scared to fight them
i dont agree
when floyd announced his retirement in june of 2008 the top 3 ranked WW's were cheato, cotto, mosley with paul williams also willing to fight there
https://boxrec.com/wiki/index.php/The_Ring_Magazine%27s_Annual_Ratings:_2008
they were the top 3 because he beat 2 of the old top 3 and became number 1 himself.
do you understand how this works?
Floyd beats Cintron.
50-50 against pre-marg undefeated Cotto.
Loses to Paul
50-50 against BALCO Mosley
Loses to Margarito
Floyd avoided tall fighters who are aggressive after that split decision with Oscar.
YDKSAB.
Cotto's own team said they weren't ready for floyd.
Paul Williams would look like a robot against floyd.
Mosley would be his toughest match but he still gets pieced up.
He would make Margarito look like the baldomir fight or even worse.
Floyd beats all of them easily. Remember, cotto was in the audience scouting mayweather when he fought gatti. Arum was trying to make that fight but cotto team said they weren't ready yet.

the thread is about PEOPLE the listed people listed over and over again for the years 2008 and 2009, i give up totally, nothing more i can say, the end of it
Erm, no, it's not :lol1:
The thread is about Floyd retiring in 2007, and how he would have fared against the "Top WW's at the time" (from the picture) which is a picture taken from 2007.
You've just changed it to 2008 and 2009 for no reason.
This is roughly now the 5th or 6th false narrative you've attempted to push in this thread :lol1: It's comical.
:pat:
Are you just plain stupid or what?
What picture am I referring to? Erm, I don't know, maybe THE PICTURE from the opening post of this thread that this ENTIRE THREAD is about :lol1:

what picture are u on about?

where are u getting this 2007 stuff from?
Because you know that picture you're reffering to with the Top WW's on it?
What year do you think that picture is from?
What excuse have I made?
Pacquaio fought Cotto at the end of 2009. You said Pacquaio moved up and fought them "at that time" which is a picture from 2007 :lol1: It's false narrative after false narrative.
?
where are u getting this 2007 stuff from?
stop making excuses for floyd, mosley took out cheato, pac took out cotto, they were fighting each other, there was only 1 person missing and u know who that was!!!! LOL
floyd fought no WW for 2 and a half years basically, all of 2008 and 2009 and up to mid 2010, there u go
What excuse have I made?

And yes, Mosley took out Margarito in 2009. Remind me who Mosley fought in his next fight after that again?
Oh those were the Top guys in both 2008 and 2009 were they? :lol1: Except for the small little fact that 50% of them were not :lol1:
No Margarito, no Williams, no Cintron in 2009. Williams and Cintron weren't even there in 2008.
And that list is from 2007. Not 2008 and definitely not 2009.
How many false narratives are you going to attempt to push in one thread?

u dont make sense
Oh yeah, great retort :lol1:
2010 applies for "at the time" when Pacquaio fights Margarito in November of 2010 apparently but magically not so much when Floyd fights Shane Mosley in May of 2010.
How can one of those be "at the time" and the other not?
retired in june 2008 and didnt fight any of the top guys at WW in 2008 who are listed over and over and over again, they were the top guys in both those years 2008 and 2009

floyd should have fought these guys in 2008 and 2009 but he retired its not hard to understand if u can see that I DONT CARE lol
pac came along and did a very good job of making some very good hard fights at that time
So again, your narrative is these guys were the top guys in 2007 (which that image is from, not 2008-2009) and Pacquaio "came up and fought them AT THE TIME" yet he didn't fight any of them in 2007 or even 2008. So.......what are you talking about? Are we just going to pretend these things happened?
He fought Margarito at the end of 2010 :lol1: 3 YEARS LATER. How does that equate to "at that time"?
How can you on one hand say Pacquaio fought Margarito "at that time" which was 2010 but then somehow deny Floyd did the same when he fought Mosley in 2010?
Do you think that makes sense?
