Wow! This sensation Moses Itauma is the best young phenom to storm the heavyweight division since... Mike Tyson. Down on it's knees, in critical condition, just when the sport needs one most, boxing has produced a new young spectacular marvel. This kid is going to electrify not only boxing but sport.
Lol....PBC setups. A dozen WBC top 10 contenders, is what they were.
"Bird legs do not generate power" Tell that to Bob Foster, Thomas Hearns, Bob Fitzsimmons, Sugar Ray Robinson, etc.
Klitschko, AJ, Povetkin, Whyte....lol. Two of them made to order for Wilder and two more the same level that Wilder feasted upon for a decade. Four brutal knockouts, says I.
Just do what Trump tells you to do; or lose your sovereignty!
We have a victim of the PBC Haymon propaganda machine. You got rope a doped by a fraud. Even coaching from Mark Breland and jab tips from Lennox Lewis couldn't improve this bum a fraction.
Primo Carnera, James J Woody, Duane Bobick, Seth Mitchell, Deontay Wilder.
I dont rate Wilder at all, his KOs all came against PBC set ups. When he was on his own the alleged power was not evident. Bird legs do not generate power. Itauma is the real deal, Wilder was a protected pretender. If Wilder's power was so special, Finkel and Haymon would not have dodged Klitschko, AJ, Povetkin, Whyte, Usyk.

i have him number 2 on my pound for pound list. usyk has been ducking this guy for years
Moses only turned pro in 2023 but yeah Usyk is avoiding him
LMFAO
Is it wilder level?
Hard to say. Wilder had a 100% KO rate until he reached the world championship title level, which bested the starts of Dempsey, Baer, Louis, Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis.
And THAT champion (claimant), who took him the full route when he won the WBC strap, was blown away as if shot in the head when they rematched.
Moses Itauma has already been taken the route.
So by that measure, I'd be forced to say that Wilder still holds the record.

His power is astounding, falling back, short punches do huge damage. Wait till he lands clean with leverage. Amazing handspeed yet. Moves so fluid and easy, looks so natural in there. I think we can surmise his chin is reliable given the bold way he fights. There's no indication in his body language or eyes of a lack of trust in his chin. He looks like a young tiger who will not be denied.
Is it wilder level?
The next, big, strong, athletic tough guy who beleives in himself enough to commit to the lifestyle in pursuit of that quarter of a billion US dollars is ALWAYS right around the corner.
Ali did, Holmes did, Lewis did, Wladamir Klitschko did, Wilder did.
Joshua, Anderson, Parker, Ruiz Jr., and so many others simply did not.
Time will tell if Moses Itauma has a title win and ten or more title defenses in him. History will unfold.
No.
It's all come from Martin Bakoles trainer Billy Nelson. So yes, yet more martin bakole sparring stories.
I don't know what his chin is like and we will find that out at some point
But at least with Itauma it's not like Jared Anderson who there was clearly never anything special about.
Itauma has the fastest handspeed I can remember seeing for a long time, he's faster than Parker, Ruiz and David Haye, I don't recall seeing faster handspeed at heavyweight.
The fact he can generate ko power whilst moving backwards is also extraordinary, it means opponents are literally never safe.
There's a lot of unanswered questions but if Itauma does have a solid chin he's going to be a serious problem

Anderson isn't a fighter, but he looks like a fighter and is pretending to be a heavyweight prospect. Another Seth Mitchell. Bakole is a whale of a hitter, if he lands right on anybody, get the smelling salts. Bakole is a freak like Samson Pouha who many may not remember, a good solid top 20 heavyweight in the 90s who had a memorable TV fight with Andrew Golota. He hurt Golota so bad he said later he didn't know his name. Golota got up and his instinct was to bite Pouha on the shoulder neck region which bought him extra recovery time. Golota ended up winning. Pouha later served as a sparring partner for George Foreman but was kicked out of training camp because he hit too hard. But Pouha never made it to the top. Bakole could be another Pouha type.

He is a good puncher with speed as you said. But power is tied to class, and he has a British jaw so ... we'll see.
It is unknown if he can keep his pace up, knows defense, or is a smart fighter. We will see when he steps up in class. But I think the hype around him is justified to an extent.
I think Anderson was the right size and could box. He had game, but he had a tiny heart for battle and a so-so chin. Average defense. He was a hype job
Is there any anecdotal evidence to support the claims Itauma can't take a punch?
No.

Is there any anecdotal evidence to support the claims Itauma can't take a punch? As there was with Wilder, as Wladimir Klitschko KOed Wilder with a jab in sparring. Wilder was nowhere close to being one of the biggest hitters in history, that was just hype propaganda fueled by a phony record against PBC set ups. Itauma is a different style from Tyson but both are electric in their own ways. Like Tyson, I think Itauma will be even better against the higher level competition.
We got to hope our boy doesn't run into his career's Artur Spzilka and get roundly outboxed by someone everyone presumed was a bit s.hit.
Let's hope Warren has a huge stable of bums like pbc did for wilder. Let's see how long he can go
Wow we just had the biggest puncher in boxing history with Wilder and now we have the next biggest puncher in boxing history. Such great marketing I mean timing for us to be alive

That's what i thought, but i have just read an article on ************ saying that there are rumours that Itauma has a glass jaw.
I doubt he'd fight like that if he was packing glass tbf.
He's looking spectacular precisely because he is throwing with his opponents.
What that looks like when he fights your Hrgovic's Parker's, Dubois' or whatever of this world who knows.
Also heavyweights are always gonna get knocked out eventually.
To succeed at heavy they do need to hold a good shot but they're never gonna be able to take their opponents best shot if he's good. Just improbable.
