Hey Google.....
Manny Pacquiao injury debacle -
"The "Manny Pacquiao injury debacle" primarily refers to the controversy surrounding a shoulder injury Pacquiao sustained before his highly anticipated fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May 2015."
Here's a breakdown of the key issues:
1. The Undisclosed Injury:
Pacquiao reportedly suffered a right shoulder injury weeks before the fight.
His team did not disclose the injury on the pre-fight medical questionnaire submitted to the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC).
This failure to disclose led to the NAC denying Pacquiao a pain-killing injection before the fight.
2. Accusations of Deception and Lawsuits:
After losing to Mayweather, Pacquiao's camp revealed the injury, leading to public outcry and accusations that they had deceived fans.
Pacquiao faced a class-action lawsuit alleging he and his team defrauded fans by not disclosing the injury.
The lawsuit claimed that ticket buyers, pay-per-view viewers, and gamblers were misled.
3. Impact on the Fight and Aftermath:
Pacquiao claimed the injury hampered his performance, stating it was "hard to fight one-handed".
The incident sparked debate about whether the injury tainted the fight's outcome.
Pacquiao eventually underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
4. Ongoing Questions and Ethical Considerations:
The incident raised questions about the responsibility of fighters and their teams to be transparent about injuries.
It also highlighted the importance of proper disclosure to athletic commissions and the potential consequences of failing to do so.
In summary, the "Manny Pacquiao injury debacle" remains a significant point of controversy in boxing history. The failure to disclose his shoulder injury before the Mayweather fight led to accusations of deception, legal action, and questions about fairness and transparency in the sport.

I agreed that fighters can experience dehydration during training. But it's just not likely that Floyd was THAT dehydrated that required the use of IV. especially knowing the history of Floyd and how he trains, takes care of his body, etc.. So I don't buy into the whole he was severely dehydrated.
It’s not just “not likely”, it’s non sensical.
Just to put offer some clarity on this, I’m sure there will be times during camp where Floyd had an extremely intense training session, he’d feel somewhat dehydrated after the session. Probably showing signs of dehydration such as dark urine or dizziness, normal things athletes go through, this is normal for any athlete. Even fighters who don’t cut weight, Mayweather, Pacquaio, etc will experience dehydration due to the sheer intensity they train at.
However, as he’s not cutting any weight, 1-2 litres of water + electrolytes is going to have you hydrated as good as instantly. Floyd doesn't cut any weight, he walks around at 150-152 and anyone reasonable knows that and we have data to prove that.
And also, it should be noted that that is during camp when intensity is at 100%. Not fight week, when training is very low in intensity.
Severe dehydration is when you have to drastically reduce water intake (and food) for an extended period of time. Some one like Devin Haney for example, or Canelo Alvarez another example, most fighters really. Alex Perriera in the UFC, Chris Eubank for his last fight.
This is when an IV may need to be administered. No one who doesn’t cut any weight such as Floyd has any logical reason to need an IV in general. That is just a fact.
For Floyd to then be caught with an illegal IV of 750ml, when he doesn’t cut any weight, the day before the fight when there is zero reasoj for him to be dehydrated as he’s not in intense training (or really any training at all) and will have close to zero water reduction? Yeah……quite literally makes not even one grain of sense.
I’m a fan of Floyd obviously, but this is my field, and I call a spade a spade. It only points to one thing. Does it prove PED use? No it doesn’t. But it very very heavily points to it. It’s just that simple.

He was ATG when he was competing but stop with saying he still has it.
I watched his Anpo exhibition closely and he is very far removed from his prime. Hes not the same anymore at 46 and I dont want to see him fighting top 10 pros
He has to reset constantly to punch, this was not the case in his prime, he is not fluid anymore, his timing is off ect
i dont think anyone has said that lol.. even pac fans like myself is giving him no chance of winning. timing is gone, cant pull the trigger, etc.

which is why it's comical to believe that he was dehydrated!!! a wealthy athlete who couldn't hire a S/C coach to keep track of his health? BS!!! but go on and defend him like you always do. "i will take floyd's word"... come on now! you said it yourself, he's a high level athlete that is very wealthy going into the biggest fight of his career, yet he couldn't get a proper S/C coach to make sure he's not dehydrated???!!!! BS!!!

Floyd makes sure to include all healthy nutrients in his diet. He never compromises on his food quality and ensures he gets all essential nutrients throughout the day. Floyd also stays away from sweets as he considers them unhealthy and a bad choice for health. As per his chef, Floyd does not eat anything he considers harmful.
He also likes to have his meals cooked in a particular fashion. For instance, he prefers using only olive oil, coconut oil, or grapeseed oil while cooking his meals. His preferred drinks while training is fresh juices, and smoothies, as it helps in staying hydrated and give him the correct dose of all healthy nutrients.
"But he was dehydrated due to him having to cut weight"..
Mayweather was cut and lean everywhere. This specific physical type was used to his advantage, because his style was predicated more on technique and speed, rather than toughness and power.
For Mayweather, there was a major focus on getting lean. Even though he competed at the 147 pound welterweight limit, Mayweather would often come in a little light at 145 or 146, and usually didn’t have to dehydrate himself much to make the weight. That meant he would only put on about five pounds after the weigh-ins. This would make him smaller than most of his big welterweight opponents, but it would also endow him with a massive speed advantage.
On weigh-in days, Mayweather only consumed about two bananas and just drank water. This would be enough for him to make the limit. But then, after weigh-ins were done, he would go right back to eating like a heavyweight.
"he had to cut weight doe"...
Lol. Illegalivweather claims severe dehydration, yet wasn't compromised at all fight night.
That's because he was masking those peds. Guilty as fuuk
They aka The Big Dunn, cannot used the excuse that Floyd was dehydrated, when I just posted several links to where Floyd talks about always staying hydrated during training, etc..
i guess for the Pac fight, floyd threw everything out the window and neglected his strict diet and training routine huh?? LOL!!!

His personal chef explains that although she cooks two meals five days a week for the boxer and only uses organic vegetables and grass-fed meats, she admits that the boxer, who’s won “Fighter of the Year” twice, may call her up at five in the morning asking for a hot dog. She says sugar and candy are his favorite things to eat, even when he trains.
The CEO of Mayweather Promotions agrees, explaining the boxer has no problem eating Popeyes or Burger King. While this diet is not what trainers recommend, his CEO says the 34-year-old boxing champ “has an unbelievable metabolism … has a great work ethic so he’s entitled to do whatever he does if it works.”
Yes there are. That is an arbitrarily high percentage.
Floyd is also an high level athlete that is very wealthy. If he is dehydrated, he isn’t getting someone to slide him a Gatorade.
He will get medical help from professionals.
No.. but a can of soda!!
Many athletes drink water or Gatorade to stay hydrated. Not Floyd Mayweather.
Speaking to the boxer, who has a 40-0 record and 25 knockouts, says, "While people drink water, I drink soda.”
LOLOL!!
Diet plays a critical role in Mayweather's training regimen. He focuses on a balanced diet rich in protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats to fuel his intense workouts. Hydration is also a key component of his nutritional plan, ensuring he stays well-hydrated throughout his training.
