I was in a relationship for 2 years and I just missed a shyt ton of fights. And then for 1 year being single I just been going out every weekend and still missing fights. I'm trying to get back into boxing. I know about Turki and I don't like him, but idk has any cool progress been made in the sport? I know Usyk retired Fury.
They were begging him to fight Bud when he was still a welterweight, since after Spence fight and before Madrimov fight. I thought having 1 fight at 154 and a close one at that, was going to kill off the Canelo fight hype, but looks like it didn't. People look past Buds age, that he fights once a year (doing the same this year sitting out whilst Canelo fights in May), has had 1 fight above 147 which was close, 0 fights at 160 0 fights at 168, whilst his opponent has been champ at 175 and dominated 168 for years. This isn't even me hating both Bud and Canelo are elite but this is mismatch. I think if fans kept the pressure on Canelo Benavidez im certain Turki would have made that. But you can see from social media the Bud Canelo hype became bigger than Canelo Benavidez
Crawford hasn't made that big time, Mayweather type of money yet so he's going to cash out vs Canelo with Turki's blessings, we all know this, the fight is an absolute mismatch, it's a joke. The fight is comparable to GGG vs Kell Brook.
But again, it's the ignorant casuals (who are the majority and make the boxing world go round) that don't understand this, they just see the name brands and that's it.
I'll just touch on the boxing on Saturday nights and having a girl thing.
I always tell my wife that she's lucky I'm not into football or a sport where there is multiple coverage of it weekly. In boxing, the good fights come around once in a while, so AT LEAST give me those nights. Sure, there are lesser fights most Saturday nights and unless we got nothing better going on, I'll be able to escape and watch them, but the argument that can usually win you is that you're watching a sport that comes and go. It's not consistent and that means she won't lose you weekly on multiple days.
Yet in saying all that, she'll still find ways to ruin that 1 big super fight night, lol.
In hindsight, I should've marked on my calendar for the big boxing days. I would plan a date on saturday and then it would just hit me like "Oh, I completely forgot Tank and Ryan are fighting tonight".
Lmfao nobody but the victims wanted that fight. Even carnela fans don't want it when carnela herself said she wouldn't get credit for it
Just look at social media. Lot of people hyped up the fight, inc people within boxing
The problem is people call him a cherry pick then the same people begged him to fight a welterweight so that is what he is going to do

Bud turned Spence into a bum
I dont remember the names of Inoue's opponents in the last 3 years, felt like he's been fighting cans
oh and usyk beat joshua twice and fury twice
Innoue just beat the #1 guy fulton and tapales and nery who were top 5, definitely not cans.
You got valid point there, why people would want to see Canelo a 168er, fight a former welterweight is beyond me, some people are straight up tar ded.

Crawford is actually smaller walking around than Haney, I doubt he'll be able to pitty pat his way on the back foot to win enough rds to get the W or avoid being stopped since he won't be able to keep Canelo honest.
oh wait maybe william scull will upset the whole thing...lmao
A great point. The same guys that assault canelo for not fighting benavidez demand him to fight a 38 old welterweight. Which he will do.
some people on the fringes might want to see that fight but most people know its another joke of a fight against a tiny guy moving up. of course canelo is going to amplify those fringe voices to make it seem like a legit fight while downplaying the vast majority who want him to fight benavidez. its all about manipulating the narrative so he doenst look like such a coward but i fear he has lost that battle and people know

Alvarez went from a major risk taker to an outright cherry-picker
and still the only true pov star

He seems to be a massive crybaby. I hate how he's so sensitive to any criticism, and is quick to not want to work with any boxer if he's not 100% on his schedule. Now he's floating the idea of working with Dana White, and I saw a graph showing how much he wants to pay fighters moving forward. He just rubs me the wrong way.
Everyone wants the payday and he works with all the boxers that are willing to fight. Minus stank davis
Why don't you like turki?

What kind of simp ass relationship bars a guy from watching boxing:lol1:
Bivol-Artur
Bivol-Artur 2
Bro you never had a relationship where she wants to spend every godd damn second with you? She probably just didn't like you. It dies down after 3 or 4 years. You could Train her to watch it with you but she'll ruin it.

Man nothing. We just planned dates a lot on Saturdays and that's when a lot of the fights take place. For the fights I was really interested in like CaneloBivol or Spence/Bud, I watched with her. But I missed a lot of upsets.
