...in Jaron's favor?
Do you think Eimantas is tailor-made for Boots?
Fans have been clamoring for this fight since time immemorial, yet it's only now that it's happening, (April 12)
a testament how slow things are moving in this sport.

Jaron Boots should be winning this fight by stoppage.
Experience matters. 34 fights vs 16 fights.
Indeed. It's a foregone conclusion like the thread title says.
I was impressed with Stanionis in his fight against Butaev. Radzhab is one tough Russian and I had my doubts he could hold up to the disciplined physicality Butaev brings.
Boots is a much different challenge but I think Stanionis has a consistent, disciplined approach with underrated skills. Boots is the better boxer with the physical gifts. Boots also has leaky defense and tends to get tagged while looking to unload his arsenal.
I could see Boots wanting to do more than simply outbox his opponent, and in the process, getting tagged clean by Stanionis. Let's see how that chin holds up if that happens.
Stanionis is under-rated. He has an ability to subtly adjusts and is always is thinking in the ring. He has a steady forward approach that can slow down a fight.
Neither has fought anyone that good so no reason to think it's a foregone conclusion. The best fight between them must have been Stanionis vs Butaev? That was heavy leather fight, Stanionis' chin was tested pretty good in thsat one.
So, all I've got is that Stanionis signed up to fight Vergil twice and was left at the altar both times. When Ennis was given the chance to fight Ortiz, he passed.
No, because just like Larry Merchant used to say: "Boxing is the theatre of the unexpected". If 'Boots' comes in overconfident, lacking discipline and focus then anything could happen.
Every fighter has the puncher's chance. Therefore, both technically and theoretically; Stanionis could very well win this fight. With that being said and I may be wrong but personally I don't believe he will. Ennis just has too much ability for him.
This is the biggest fight of Jaron's career. Not only is he the better fighter but likewise, He should be very focused and prepared for the task at hand as well.

Ennis gets hit clean regularly. He’s looked defensively poor recently and his cranium size/neck length means it’s unlikely he’s super durable.
I would be surprised if Stan gives him a good beating

Meaningful experience matters. Consistently fighting outmatched opponents can create complacency and reinforce bad habits. I'm not saying that's the case with Boots but it might be.
Stanionis is a subtle tricky fighter. I think this fight will be better than most think. My biggest issue is that both guys have not been that active especially Stanionis.

Ennis should be winning this fight in flying colors just based on experience. Jaron Boots got a whopping 34 bouts on his record and Eimantas only got 16.

Could you expand on how Ennis is a runner and a hugger? An example of a hugger to me would be someone like John Ruiz; a runner would be someone like Stevenson in his bouts against De Los Santos and Conceicao. How is Ennis in any way similar to what Ruiz or Stevenson behaved in the ring?
Just watch his matches before he went up against Karen.
So this is a division that had Mayweather, Pacquiao, Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey...12-15 years ago.
It had Crawford, Spence, Porter, Ugas, Pacquiao...just a few years ago.
Now it is just meh division.
Back than 2009 Zaveck went to South Africa to capture IBF belt from the hands of domestic guy Hlatschwayo.
Now it seems like a monster move compared to the way these guys took their belts.
Yet this is a unification and the biggest 147lb fight since Spence/Bud, both just aren't big names or had any real stand out fights yet but this could be it.
Lmfao.....not even close
neither guy has fought anyone but they got to the top of the division because everyone else lost, left and or died apparently
That's how it is now man. You'd wonder how they got to the top as if the previous fighters never existed during their development stage. I think being undefeated is more important than what's in their resume.
