Here are some of his stats...
he beat 2 ring ranked opponents: stiverne and ortiz.
He has a 100% ko rate against non ranked opponents and a 25% ko rate against ring ranked opponents.
Yay or nah?
Guys they let in Paz, so are you going to tell me Paz has a better resume than Wilder?
Also heavyweights are similar to NFL quarterbacks and get in the two sports hall of fames with fairly flimsy resumes. A century plus ago Tommy Burns had a similar defense streak to Wilder and he's in so there is no reason why Wilder can't make it.
Wilder never beat anyone. But he was considered the best heavyweight on basis of in 12 rounds it will land against anyone, be it josh, fury, wlad or whoever
He’s got an awful lot of title defenses to not get in by modern standards. That said, he needs to retire. He’s a sitting duck in there at this point and if he ends his career with a long streak of ko losses he really hurts his chances of the hof.
gatti has a better resume no? i count 5 top 10 wins for him to wilders 2.
They both have pretty garbage resumes. My point is they let anyone in now - they let Vinnie Paz in this year. At that rate, Wilder and Whyte will be first ballot HOFers.
Deontay Wilder, the human, yes. Only ever lost to prime Fury, beat the legendary Ortiz, best right hand ever. Wilder the clone W0 L2 (Parker, Zhang) No. Belongs in the trash. Nash out - His Majesty
Wouldn't be surprised. They'll use the "he brought back American heavyweight boxing back" and how he had destructive power. They won't even mention the level of opponents. Also all his title defenses against trash opponents. Like I said I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he got in
I have no doubt that he will get in but hype and popularity are different then merit based entries. People crap on gatti but he was a better fighter with a better resume than wilder. Wilder was in some good fights and was popular so it's fine he gets in but in reality he never should have been propped up in the first place as some top guy when he wasnt
Who cares about what his nationality is? He has a too poor a resume to be a HOFer the titles themselves mean nothing. Its about who you beat and how good they were when you beat them.
The hall of fame is American, Americans get bonus points

They call it artificial intelligence, and it can't even distinguish between a prediction and a poll.

Will you ever get a life?
Can you go a day without making a Deontay Wilder related thread?
These are better questions.
You're essentially saying the same thing, every day, over and over and over and over again. How can you not see you don't look like a pathetic basement dweller?
Haha I’ve gotta laugh. I often wonder what some of the members of this site look like, what their lives are like. I’ve met a few over the years, at boxing events. Actually remained good friends with one guy who used to post here about ten years ago. If I go by my experience, I’d say most here are regular guys with regular lives. Of course there are the outliers — total losers and extraordinary achievers (probably a lot less of the latter Lol).
Nah, Wilder isn't HOF worthy. He could of been, but losing to Fury in their second fight and then how his career went after totally derailed that.
I was on the Wilder hype train and a fan for years. Though the way his most recent bouts went, I'm pretty much over it. The fact that he yet again wants to continue to fight is showing how bad he's trying to either get back to some glory he used to have, or just needs the $$$ bad. The dude's chin is officially broken. I think anyone who has a chance to land on it will be able to take him out. He also doesn't fight with the same confidence as he used to and that means, he'll never really deliver the same KO bombs he used to in his prime years. He's officially over and would be best to just retire while he has his faculties in tact.
