he beat juanma lopez who was #1(ring) at the time
he beat lomachenko who became #1 after losing to salido
he beat cristobal cruz who was ranked #3 at the time
he beat guerrero who became #2 after losing to salido
he also moved up to 130 and was robbed against roman martinez ranked #5 and had a draw with #2 vargas which i scored the fight for salido but razor close.
tank davis has never beaten anyone in the top 3 his entire career yet he's great and a p4p fighter and salido is a bum? because salido had 8 losses early in his career? who cares? he put in work during his prime. tank did not. salido in his prime lost to marquez who was ranked #2, gamboa ranked #2, and mikey garcia ranked #3. and? when you fight top guys over and over its pretty hard to win them all. going 4-3 is pretty impressive. dubois is 2-2 against top level guys and hes considered a top guy rightfully. why is salido considered some sort of bum?

If anything, Salido doesn't get enough criticism for his fouling in headbutts/lowblows but he does seem underrated to me. He tested positive for Nandrolone against Guerrero for whom he beat, being able to fight against another quite underrated fighter in Robinson Castellanos, who went to beat multiple champions in Ronny Rios (23-0), Celestino Caballero (36-4), and Yuriorkis Gamboa (26-1). Castellanos never won a title and had a deceptive record of (3-6) at 25 years old, as he had debuted late.
There is also the fact that he come bloated overweight against a debuting Lomachenko coming over 21 pounds (147) and did a lot of low blow fouls. Also think he shouldn't had won since Loma had outscored him and should had been disqualified for repeated low blows, but Salido's punch combinations, had mostly landed and often hurt Ukranian even when he tried to slip/weave through them, perhaps because Loma was going from the amateur background to pro fighting with this being his second fight. Lomachenko almost finished him at the end of the fight despite the weight disparity, could have probably pulled it off if he had more experience or at least knocked him down to get the win.
As for Juan Manuel Lopez X2 are pretty good wins having beaten one of the hard punching fighters at 122-126 historically in his hometown twice, an undefeated two division world champion in his physical prime with a record of 30-0, 27 KOs, with wins over Gerry Penalosa, Daniel Ponce De Leon, Steve Luevano, Bernabe Concepcion, and Rafael Marquez.
Salido should won against Cruz, Bandido Vargas and Roman Martinez in the rematch. Faulty judging as they are the high profile fighter. Salido vs JMM was a pretty boring one sided fight since Siri didn't want to engage and Marquez was just waiting for him, odd since their styles should had meshed well. Mikey Garcia almost got him out there early dropping him four times, but due to a headbutt breaking Mikey's nose, the fight went to the scorecards.

People in the past called him a gatekeeper, but he held multiple world championships at featherweight (126), whether you agree with the outcome against Loma or not, he beat both of whom were considered to be among the best active boxers in the pound for pound rankings in Juan Manuel Lopez and Vasily Lomachenko. He mostly lost as the underdog against fighter who were backed by the promotions and judges, but he deserves to be judged on his fouling in hadbutts/lowblows, testing positive and fighting despite coming overweight more than once. His skills are genuine as likely beat most of the champions today like Ball, Leo and Fulton.
Edit: Also like to note that Salido was also past his best against Loma, as he gassed out relatively early after 6 rounds.
i dont know what you are saying and im pretty sure you dont either. there was no false equivalency anywhere in my post. tank davis doesnt deserve to be on the p4p list because his resume is crap. thats not a false equivalency. if you think hes good based on fantasy projections thats fine. if you go by who has the better resume its clearly salido. you dont have to put him on a list of best fighters, but you cant reasonably put tank on any list of best fighters based on not fighting the best. thats not false equivalency. thats you have to show evidence of being the best, which he has not done. salido has shown evidence he can compete and beat the best so he at least should be considered, tank should not be considered until hes done so.
Salido's performance have nothing to do with Davis' situation you ful. Even when you get it right you get it right for the wrong reasons.
Daggum with a weak, roundabout way to criticize Tank because Loma ducked him.
Besides, there isn’t a huge amount of people labelling Salido a bum.
What they do is lessen Loma, just like they do other boxers, for losing to a guy he was so heavily favored to beat.
Was he really a favourite to win ???
By thé bookies or hearsay

People here with an agenda did not call him a bum, they called him an Uber driver. Those insecure ones.
Crazy even to mention that
He was coming off two crazy good wins against Lopez amongst others
Insecurities can be a biatch lmao
Nah Salido was far from being a bum
I've actually never heard anyone say Salido was a bum although many talk chit about him not being very good which blows my mind

Some kind of fix was in for that fight
Just did the make any kind of sense
Salido , would lay off for a minute and beck to hitting him in the nuts
Crazy chit
Money, bets, that is what makes sense.
Let my guy loose one, he is getting the belt no matter what, bet against him and make me millions.
yes he does. i saw the fight and he clearly won. yes he was on ped's but so were floyd, canelo, etc...but they have political power and salido doesnt. im not going to punish him because he doesn't have the right connections. oh wait it was just horse meat salido was eating.
lots of people call him a bum and a journeyman and a lot of nonsense. they say he su-cked and the like. of course its not true but then again you have people here who think wilder was great so could be opposite day/life?
No, actually, he doesn't.
What you "saw" is irrelevant. Salido doesn't have a win over Robert Guererro on his resume and that is an objective fact.
i didnt dsee the fight or cant remember but i heard that salido was going to be knocked out if it went on not sure if its true or not and that he was over weihgt and also low blows so yeah idk
The 2 guys who had "wins" over Loma never wanted a rematch, do you know why?
is this something to do with lomie? when they say lomie lost to bum salido ive heard that many times
It has to do with insecurities and having a new sheriff in town that was the best guy coming off of the amateurs.

You're making yet again another false equivalency. "P utin is an evil dictator, therefore we should defend Taiwan against China." You see the problem with this statement?
I agree with you about tank Davis and it has nothing to do with Salido.

Yes maybe around or two more and most likely would of gotten knocked out
What blows my mind is the amount of low blows delivered in this fight ; any other and he would of gotten disqualified half way through
I chit you not the amount of low blows was insane
Go watch it and tell me that you wouldn’t have disqualified him after third fourth round
Fughin insane this fight went 12

They omitted the 80 nut shots that actually beat Loma
