Thank God, Good Riddance to Davis vs Roach. Tank is a entertaining fighter but it is too bad his skills and ability are going to waste where he could actually be competing against top fighters like Martin and get a belt instead of fighting random in-house fighters with certain advantages which are then maneuvered onto a title shot like Romero, Cruz and Barrios. Where in a reality they likely wouldn't haven't beaten a top fighter to get these titles. Especially Rolly and Mario.

I would think that if the Roach fight was scrapped for a Garcia fight or something he would have just said nothing up until it was announced, or would have eluded to "something bigger is coming".........

Errol Spence had a guarantee of only $1.5 million in the Crawford fight, one of the most awaited matchups in boxing history, yet that's how the business people behind it assessed what the size of the fight was. Nobody knows about the upside. I believe he's asking for a guarantee of 2 million, which isn't too high, but that guarantee is more than likely secured from initial ticket sales. If the initial ticket sales are low, that would more than likely determine that the fight is not gonna sell well on PPV either. As you stated, Spence vs Crawford was a highly anticipated fight so a $1.5 million guarantee is acceptable when most of your money will come from the up end of PPV sales. Tank vs Roach is not a highly anticipated bout. There ain't no way Tank was gonna make the big up end money on the March 1st PPV sales. His last fight had lots of help from Benavidez being co main, no such help this time around.
