I remember one instance of Bivol doing a roll alongside the ropes to make Artur miss outright. He ducked under a hook to escape from the ropes
Bivol can box with a lower guard rather than the perma high guard seen in fight 1. This lower lead hand position makes Bivol jab faster and optimizes for head movement
Head movement to make Artur miss is better than blocking given his power. Blocked Artur shots can still do damage and the sound of impact persuades the judges
Can Bivol move his head to consistently make Artur’s looping shots miss?

- - Bivol best hope is Artur becomes old overnight such that Arur cannot capitalize on now knowing Bivol's style in advance.
Otherwise, Artur more definitively 2nd go round...:yeah:
Bicol needs to stay active, Beterbiev stops punching when activity is coming at him. When he is not engaging he has to be out of range or smothering Beterbiev. A more active Beterbiev IMO will do better. He was inactive due to injuries and if he is more healthy for this fight he will pressure Bivol more.
I don't think Bivol can do anything different... He brought his A game for the first fight, tried to trade with Artur and lost at that game... Maybe hit and run more like we usually see him do, but at the end of the day he won't be able to keep Artur off him... Same outcome and he probably won't see the 12th round this time...
countless boxers move their head for defense instead of blocking
Slips dips rolls and fades are head movement that set counters up
callum smith isn’t all that good. That your gold standard for what’s possible in boxing. see why you struggle with head movement in the gym

All the good ones don't do it with their hands down. They know when to adopt different guard postures and never keep the hands low. The ones who do, end up like that clown Whitaker. I never said I struggle at it; I said you try it in the gym and even rank beginners will lay hands on your face. You don't know because you have less experience than even a beginner, because you come up with nonsense that only a couch potato would.
Callum Smith isn't a measuring stick for what's possible. He's an example of a guy who's good enough to have achieved a world title who tried head movement as a gameplan vs the guy you're advocating that gameplan for, and got knocked out as as result. And he was smart enough to keep his hands up, unlike what you suggested. Still got knocked out. And you think it would go differently for Bivol why? You really are a clown.
It was a close fight and a score for either is understandable. The same approach could work with a different set of judges.
However if he wants to make it more clear then I think Bivol needs to let his hands rip a little more often. I do believe that Bivol can overwhelm Beterbiev with accurate volume punches he just needs to have the mindset of constantly chipping away at Beterbiev.
Anybody can be hurt and he needs to have that little bit more confidence in his power and not be dissuaded by Beterbievs poker face and strength.
As for Beterbiev he needs to step on the gas and get to Bivol sooner rather than later. Simple adjustment.Bivol was overly lateral
while he landed a good check hook or two
Linear Bivol is better offensively
Keyword is accurate. Bivol hurt Artur with a hook in round 7 and pushed him to the ropes then blew it with a trigger happy combo that was entirely blocked
We know Bivol can box behind the cover of his jab when he has an opponent in the ropes. Bivol did this in the Alvarez fight
Go take a look and see how that gameplan played out for Callum Smith...
Head movement is a backup for defense. It's never perfect, and when you screw it up, often times you move your fool head right into the shot. When that shot is coming from Beterbiev...
Are you hoping Bivol gets stopped this time?
Please, get in the gym and try this stuff out yourself. SMH.countless boxers move their head for defense instead of blocking
