Rafael is reporting that the fight is dead, and that Sampson has been given an offer for Fundora to replace Boots, but Sampson passed.
Big shocker that Boots pulled out, as usual.
Edit: Rafael says the fight fell out because instead of fighting for Ortiz 154 title as was planned, Boots wanted to drain Ortiz down to 147. But Ortiz hadnt fought at 147 in several years and cant make that weight
It's not just Boots v Ortiz is dead. Boots is dead, period. Everybody just needs to forget him, and Tank, and whoever else fights nobody for a living while swerving prime opp and claiming greatness.
It is the new mentality and it is enabled by the likes of Satanic Bob Arum and company. Why don't we give em rock em sock em balloon gloves, and make all rounds a minute... fights 5 rounds so nobody gets hurt? Marinate all fights that have meaning until way down the road in a fighter's career...
Shakira the one that doesn't want it.
Wants to fight a golden boy fighter, signs with matchroom lmfao fvkcing idiot
Shakur was twice set to face Willie Zepeda, but the little wall climber ran away each time. Tr.ump needs to build that wall higher.
Boots is a hype job and will never fight anybody good. he is fighting C level guys in a dead division.

Wow you got me. Back of the welfare line for you Tyrone
Lmao wow those are some great names. Best mexican fighters ever! The great d level joet and c level valdez lmao
Like bragging about carnela beating Kirkland :lol1:
Valdez was an Olympian for Mexico, José. Joet was undefeated when Shakur washed him. Why has Willie Zepeda ducked Shakur twice now, José? Is his 5'1" wife due to give birth again?:lol1::lol1:
It was an illegal amount that draws su****ion. Unlike you people quantavius, we have critical thinking.
Does your critical thinking kick in while you're selling bottled water, José?
Btw, why can't any of your tri-colors beat Shakur? Valdez, Joet...Shakur owns you guys.
750 ML of IV for froid lmao and you completely ignored Roy as if I forgot lmao. Nice try boy!
Try again to tobi
IV is not PEDs, José. Did you sell your quita or oranges today or not?
Didn't roid Jones, James toney and froid Mayweather all cheat and get caught with ped's? Lmfao end of the welfare line for you boy
Toney yes, Roy and Floyd no, José. Floyd was implicated for blood doping, not PEDs like Canelhoe and Cryin Ryan. Now go sell some oranges and bottled water before I get irritated and call I.C.E. on you.
Yeah he fled cause he couldn't make weight anymore lmfao Oscar wanted that fight before his health issues. And Crawford (whom I'm a fan of) ain't saying ortiz name.
You bltch about dug cheats or just ryan cause I think of him as other steroid cheats as roid Jones Jr and Mayweather and James tones
Shut your ass up boy and go back to your hut
Your heroes eat tainted beef. Just admit it. Ryan got flattened by Tank, then quit on one knee like the little tri-colors biaaaatch that he is. Now every time he sees Tank, he act like he wants to suck his d**k. When is Cameltoe fighting Bivol again? Don't you have some oranges or bottled water to sell by the freeway, José?
He beats em all. The great black hype exposed lmao
Hey how do you feel about the next black hype moton missing weight and being on steroids?
That's why Vergil was Bud's WBO mandatory and fled to 154.
How do you feel about steroids CHEAT Ryan Garcia's 1 year ban? Most of your tri-color heroes consume tainted beef. :lol1::lol1::lol1:
BlackRobb lmao looks like the black hype ducked a Mexican :lol1:
I've never hyped Boots. Vergil Jr. won't last long at 154 if they feed him to Zayas, Madrimov or Fundora. Maybe Vergil Jr. can fight the remains of Errol at Jerry's World. World.
Sampson turned it down, it seems he is waiting for Spence
Spence supposedly responded to a fan on Twitter stating that he's out of the loop. Maybe he's lying to keep things under wraps, or maybe PBC has nothing for him at the moment.
So lets see...according to some people Crawford "ducked" Boots and basically fled to 154 to grab a belt against a less dangerous no name Madrimov instead, but Boots isn't confident of his ability to move up and fight Ortiz for his interim and was only willing to fight him at 147 weight drained. Oooooookay.
All I know is Jaron is 33 fights deep without a single name to his credit, and he seems content to languish in a shitty division where he can reap those easy benefits.
And he's looking progressively worse doing it.
If that's his course, by his own hand or by external factors, so be it.
If this is true I am done supporting Boots (I'm sure he will lose sleep knowing this).
Sad though, what a waste of talent. Regardless of the ''he's overhyped'' speculation he is clearly a hell of a fighter he just like most African-American fighters today has no balls and desire to challenge himself. All about Tweeting and protecting their '0'.
I assume this is less about draining Ortiz, and more about Ennis wanting to unify @147. Maybe this is also Hearn sticking it to Oscar. This situation will be framed it in whichever way will create the most engagement. WW is supposedly starting to progress with Barrios/Benn and Stanionis/Giyasov in the works. Maybe Undisputed is within the realm of possibility now. However, I think Ennis is running the risk of staying too long at 147 and draining himself into a loss. It's his choice to make.
I like Ortiz/Ennis, but Fundora is the more logical match-up because it will consolidate the WBC title. Fundora is also free right now.
Sampson turned it down, it seems he is waiting for Spence
Boots didn't even want to go up to 154 to face Ortiz who looked vulnerable against Bohachuk...would a 2 year inactive Spence coming off a crushing loss at a new division be vulnerable enough for Boots to risk it?
Name value and intrigue. If GBP had the opportunity to make Ortiz/Spence, I bet they would. Some are under the impression that Spence's poor performance vs. Crawford had to do with weight. People would tune in to see if Spence can redeem himself or if Ennis could outdo Crawford. I think their styles would mesh perfectly. Spence and Ennis would both be making their 154lb debuts, so Spence wouldn't have to face a full-fledged LMW like Fundora.
