Sure we have big fights every now and then, but it's not consistent in regularity, is it?
Fans probably need more of Probox TV fights or similar so we have more fighters to follow.
This site alone shows it's in decline. Writers have nothing much to write about when it comes to US fighters.
This site has recently made a concerted effort to interview every minor British boxer they can find. While neglecting even the major American and Mexican fighters by comparison.
The bias is obvious. It’s almost like they’re deliberately trying to kill US boxing.
That’s why I’m glad an American just starched a Japanese fighter. That ought to be a reality check for some.
If you look at the origin countries of every major belt holder, everybody in the TBRB top 10, and everybody in the Ring top 10 there are some obvious clues as to what is happening.
Americans, by and large, dominate those categories from 126-168. 122 and below, not many Americans. 175 and up, again, not many Americans.
The upper weight classes are easier to explain. It's MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL. All those leagues have average weights over 200 pounds. Quality American athletes of that size are simply being funneled into more popular sports.
As for the lower weights, I think there's just much more competition there in Asian and Latino countries. Especially Japan and Mexico.

I don't believe that's true - there's loads of angles to hit but there not being interviewed enough.
Interview Bam Rodriguez
Interview Wilder ffs - biggest recent US star ie last 15 years - ask him what he did wrong in Fury fights - we all think we know what he did wrong but what does he think
Interview Bob Arum - ask him what motivates him to keep going
ask Crawford about details of his camp before the Spence fight
Heck - where is Spence? Go find him
Boxing IS on the decline in America but how come nobody's talking about the US being the birthplace of p0rn, junk food, wokeness (not to mention being the obesity capital of the world)? Do you think they have these kind of problems in Kazakhstan/Uzbekistan lol?
The high cost of food nowadays is solving obesity problem in America. I see people on Tiktok complaining why even eating fast food costs too damn much.
Do you want to give USA props for having more world champions than New Zealand as well
The USA is not REALLY one country, the individual states are like countries, it's a vast continental sized group of "states" many of which are bigger and more populated than many European countries.
Bruh........
Gotta be top 10 ATG excuse
But no answer.
My questions rarely get answered.

You actually raise an interesting philosophical question. Poorer nations have less obesity for obvious reasons and also tend to be more culturally conservative.
The idea of a Third World adult film star is ludicrous, that kind of thing can only exist in wealthy, decadent nations.

Well the EU has its own flag and currency and is made up of many European nations. So... they are acting that way. Mostly they decide things in a non nation sense, relying on the mass of the EU to carry weight.
As such they are on one nation, not several. Germany is the real power and acts most like its own naiton.

USA = 1 country
Euro = Many
How are the individual Euro countries doing boxing/sports wise ?!?!?

This generation are all trying to copy Mayweather
Hopefully the next generation see how stupid of an idea that has been and US boxing gets some real bad asses.
Definitely on the decline. Many of the stars fans used to have huge discussions about have all disappeared in just the last two years, or at least just looking for money fights. Wilder, Jermall, Jermell, Spence, Thurman, Crawford, etc.
Sport is not dead, but definitely been on the decline, especially the US. Those names are now only going after paychecks.
USA does not even have one legit heavyweight contender in the top ten. Wilder is not a top ten fighter. He's a smoke and mirrors hype job who had to duck AJ, Usyk, Povetkin, Whyte, old Klitschko. Not having one hwt top ten contender is your proof of the decline. So goes the heavyweight division, so goes boxing...
Very much in decline. Since Mayweather's phony reign. Crawford is the only great American fighter now. The rest are all protected or head cases. Bernhard Hopkins was the last great American champion before Crawford. Back in the 70s 80s 90s. each division had great Americans. Haymon Mayweather ruined boxing with their business first safety approach.
Now the most famous American fighters are pretenders like Jake Paul or long past greats like Iron Mike.
We are missing TBE Mayweather and Pacquiao's long reign together at the top, we are missing prime Tyson Fury, Wilder and Joshua when they were unbeaten lions, and Kovalev, Stevenson, and Golovkin era, Green Nelo's rise. These guys kept boxing going. The guys keeping boxing going today are Usyk, Canelo 2.0, Jake Paul, Inoue, Crawford, and Bivol. 6 great fighters, but lacking the aura of the previous list of fighters that I mentioned. Nash out - His Majesty
Boxing needs one King and no ways to block fights. No weight divisions, 1 belt, The Face of Boxing. This way Inoue can fight Uysk, for example, being lighter he should have a huge speed advantage over the bigger man, who has more strength. A great 50-50 bout. Boxing also needs a yearly Royal Rumble and other types of special bouts. Nash out - His Most Majestic Majesty
Another huge problem no one is discussing is there too many weight divisions. This prevents the biggest fights from happening especially when there is four champions in each division. Boxing needs to reduce the amount of their weight divisions just like the ufc.
In all reality, there are to many belts imo
I can live with the divisions but way to many belts

It's mostly about better, unified marketing of product. Plenty of low lying fruit for Boxing in that regard.
Boxing is OK. But it will never get back to being one of the 3 or 4 biggest sports both inside and outside of the U.S. the way it was for much of the 20th century. The stage is now being shared with all the newer sports and family friendly sports that have wider, non-violent appeal. Against Boxing, long established on each continent; Kickboxing, MMA, Submission grappling and Bareknuckle boxing are smaller sports by most measurements; but MMA is by far the best business structure of the lot. ESPN is a business partner of a sport with a single company hosting its entire major league, as one example. The only downside to their model is that few of the fighters ever get rich. A boxer can train hard with, if he is exceptional, the somewhat realistic goal of becoming extremely wealthy if he keeps winning, but a UFC employee fighter cannot.
They're all "niche sports", actually. Nothing to worry about there.
1. The American niche market.
2. The Commonwealth niche market.
3. The Country club niche market.
4. The Combat sport niche market.
5. The Olympic sport niche market.
Just about every athletic spectator sport finds a home in one of these niche market catagories. When people lament that "Boxing is a niche sport", that doesn't pack a lot of meaning.
People will always pay to see the very best warriors in society fight, standing as humans do. Boxing survives and does great.
As with any sport; if you want a predominance of white Americans, for example; you'd need to fill the ranks with more white American fighters. Not easy in a country where there are good, steady, much easier jobs for everyone.
