How could you give Whittaker round 3? He flurried and hit guard, all the clean work came from Cameron. They scored 6 rounds because the 5th ended, so the 6th was scored 10-10 as they didn’t actually start it.
Whittaker was done at the point they went over the ropes. He was shipping heavy shots constantly. Course it makes sense to quit when you’re gassed and the other guy is beating the crap out of you as happened in 4 and 5.
Scoring the 6th even is still stupid when it's not started shouldn't be scored at all not that it maked a difference
Cameron is the one in front he is the one hugging and pushing him not sure how people are spinning it like the fall is Whitaker fault when he's going backwards. Also yeah there was no reason to quit way you lot making out is like it was some 5 round beating. Whitaker was getting caught more 4th and 5th but he wasn't hurt at any point where he was wobbled or gassed
Lol Quittaker DEFINITELY quit for the following simple reason…
He made absolutely NO attempt to get back to his feet (unlike Cameron) so was clearly looking for a way out. If he’d at least ATTEMPTED to stand (like Clarke following his savage KO loss) I would’ve given him the benefit of the doubt but he did absolutely nothing other than play dead!
Seems like everyone hating and waiting on his downfall.
I missed the fight but rewatched it, and thought Whitaker won 3 rounds so thought he won even on scorecards.
As for scorecards why did they score 6 rounds when thr 6th did not even start
The injury, you cannot tell but i heard he might have hit his foot on the steel staircase. I don't think he quit, makes no sense to quit as there will then be pressure to make the rematch which will almost certainly happen, and i don't think he was losing, the way the comments online were had me thinking he has been schooled for 5 rounds or something, he wasn't, even though Cameron was coming on strong the last 2 rounds

He was outboxing Cameron in spurts but he couldn't hurt him, and he did NOT like what Cameron was throwing back at all. He was gassing just before they flew out of the ring. I think with a few more rounds, Cameron would have had him out of there, honestly.
I won't say whether or not he quit: only Ben knows for sure, but I will say he owes it to Cameron to get back in that ring and finish the fight, and he owes it to himself as a fighter.
This guy bums me out mostly because he makes it so clear that Emanuel Augustus would have made good $$$ in the TikTok era.
But he definitely wanted out of that fight, weird and lame ending.
The conquences of pro fighter whose a loud mouth. If he beats a well known fighter he gets to become a bigger draw than usual prize fighters, if he losses then he will get more criticism than normal.
Hope Whitaker doesn't give up on his pro career after facing a difficult adversary and getting humiliated for not handling it well.
Professional boxing needs more
fresh talent.
If he is injured he is injured. It's Cameron the one who was going forward hugging him and send them over

Ben had the look and charisma of a star
without the ability and heart of a star
LOL...summed it up perfectly!
I think the WWE is the next stop for him
