Good question, and sincerely speaking I don't know what the rule is in such a case. Asking Citizen Koba for assistance, please! I don't mind either way, just curious. Easier is probably better and more fair, as SteveM says.

Tatabanya Citizen Koba crimsonfalcon07 I would say the result on the night and up to say a week before next pickem reason A/ it gets too complicated to go back and change and B/ It could get real tricky if you change results several weeks later. Imagine you placed a x5 on Ryan Garcia to win. But now it's changed to a N/C so if we change the points to reflect that you get your x5 back to use - but suppose you 'missed' an opportunity to use your x5 on another good upset possibility because that fight has come and gone. You missed an opportunity. On the other hand we could just adjust the results and say its all part of boxing - there'll always be a chance of retreactive DQs and NCs - if you are worried about it don't put multipliers on suspected PED users. That said, I always favour simplicity and have to think about Tatabanya's brain battery as well

I kind of thought we were at cross-purposes - no worries. For what it's worth i don't think it is AI being used on this site - i believe its just some simple software with input from the mods who have just input a list they don't want to see - basically everything non-boxing that is 'wrong' in their view IDK. One of the mods mentioned AI is being used since the site's ownership changed hands.

My comment only pertained to the ai app that is used on this site. I think its filters are simplistic, but they should allow for adjustment, to avoid unnecessary censoring and bans. I kind of thought we were at cross-purposes - no worries. For what it's worth i don't think it is AI being used on this site - i believe its just some simple software with input from the mods who have just input a list they don't want to see - basically everything non-boxing that is 'wrong' in their view

Most of those minds have come out and stated they are fearful for the future. Just last week the co-inventor of machine learning got a Nobel Prize for inventing machine learning which was the start of AI and he said the same. But AI is like a gun - it depends on who is using it. Malevolent actors, state or individual, could use it to do far worse than current day hackers. Y I've heard about the fears, and given such, don't you believe that safeguards would be put in place to prevent catastrophe? Good point about the tech falling into the wrong hands. I hadn't considered that. It needs to be regulated, which goes back to my mention of safeguards.

I think we're looking at this from different perspectives. I'm talking about the maximum capacity of AI - not the frontiers of space as the voice on Star Trek intoned at the beginning of each episode but rather the frontiers of artificial intelligence. That is measured by the capacities of GPT-4 and it's latest iterations and it's competitors. It's a bit like a sports league table,one moment one product is ahead and then the following month another is ahead. But in the case of ChatGPT 4 I've read that it is learning at such a rate that by 2028 it'll have the combined intelligence of the human race - 1,000,000 PHDs - and if that isn't the combined intelligence then you can imagine where it'll have reached by 2030 or 2035. The article I read is a subscription piece otherwise I'd link you if i can find it - I read too much. My comment only pertained to the ai app that is used on this site. It's still in early stages of development, despite advances. But, I'm sure that key functions can be adjusted to reduce senseless censoring and bans. And I just don't see the great minds behind it allowing it to self-advance like Skynet. Most of those minds have come out and stated they are fearful for the future. I can only go by what I'm reading - but the AI learning curve is a very steep exponential one I bet the level of a given AI app's intelligence and adjustability has a lot to do with how much it costs. You get what you pay for.

It's no longer in its infancy - it is a multiple times more powerful than it was in 2020 and for example Chat GPT by 2028 will have the combined intelligence of 1 million PHDs and be able to access and employ that intelligence in a matter of a few seconds. This happens when AI runs most everything. The same is occurring in almost any field, worldwide. It's a sad state of things. I'm not sure it is AI - it's just a spell check algorithm with an input of words from a Li-ber-al moderator - "Li-ber-als - all for freedom except where it affronts their beliefs"

Surely, AI can be tweaked and fine-tuned to better discern what is offensive and what is just friendly banter. Of course, the technology is in its infancy, so there's plenty of room for improvements.
