I have to refer back to everyone's favorite bad man, Mike Tyson
Tubbs, Smith, Berbick, Pinklon........ :lol1: !!!!!
A who's who of Bumsville.
When Mike dispatched nepo contender Marvis Frazier, mugs couldn't get enough.
And Holy happened
And then Lennox happened (Lenny wasn't prime either !)
":crying:...Holy was a dirty fighter, doe..." (The Bully was bullied ?!?!?!?)
":crying: Mike was locked up, doe....past prime....."
Not sure who had more cherries, Mike or GGG
Far worse cherry picks in the last two or more decades of boxing. Floyd bringing Marquez up over two weight classes and then refusing to make the weight for the catch weight he agreed to. He also chose Maidana over Khan after fans voted for him to fight Khan. That was a cherry pick gone wrong because he got a gift in that first Maidana fight. Bruseles and Corley were blatant cherry picks. Even his fight with a 23 year old Canelo at a catchweight of 152 was a pick job. Rounding out his career with his last two wins against a shot Berto and 0-0 McGregor makes him one of the biggest cherry pickers in history.
Charlo wanted this fight. He was hiding out at 154 while ducking Lara, Hurd, and Tszyu. That said, Canelo had to duck Benavidez and other more deserving opponents to make this fight. It was a money grab fight.
The only fight that makes sense for Canelo/Bivol II is at 168 ... The outcome will probably be the same but at least we'll have a mirage of "what-if-Canelo..." vibes ...
I remember Charlo fans kept mentioning about Canelo but then the fight happened. Today the fight is considered cherry pick by a Charlo fan no less.
I'm not even a fan Canelo because of his Mayweather style of cherrypicking opponents but this is not one of those fights. Fans wanted this fight.
Also this is one of the reason i don't want Crawford vs Canelo to happen. It is going to be one sided decision with Canelo winning the fight. Crawford will be there for the payday only.
It was 160lb charlo fans wanted to see NOT 154lber. Get it right
Everyone's hero(s) has(d) cherries
Guys from the way back when era depended on cherries
Sad part is, haters will NEVER put their hero(s) rep at risk by doing some research :lol1: !!!
98% of GGG's entire career was built off of cherries :lol1:
Not sure that is worse than Canelo vs Amir Khan, considering the latter debuted at lightweight and was known already for his glass chin getting stopped early twice already by Breidis Prescott and Danny Garcia.

Facts don't lie
A cherry pick even worse than that was Pac cherry picking a part time special ed teacher -
Pacquiao is a heavy betting favourite, and the 38-year-old winning by full or technical knockout is one of the best prop bets. Pacquiao is tipped at -600 to win, per Justin Hartling of OddsShark.com. Meanwhile, the same source puts Horn's odds of winning as long as +400.

At first it seems like Canelo got timid of going for the KO ever since losing to Bivol, but considering his history I've come to the conclusion that he really isn't that big of a KO guy to begin with.
Out of Canelo's 66 fights, 36 of them were prior to him getting his first world title, mostly fighting local tomato cans in his backyard where he accumulated a 35-0-1 record with 26 KO and 9 decisions. In other words starting from his first world title fight 14 years ago, in 30 fights he's basically 27-2-1 with 13 KO wins and 14 decisions, currently on a 5 straight decision win post Bivol loss. Not calling him feather fisted or anything, but certainly not a KO artist.
