No. Hrgovic sucks ass and always has. Naoya Inoue has already stopped Luis Nery and TJ Doheny this year and he's supposed to fight either Goodman or Akhmadaliev in December in Tokyo. Jesse Rodriguez stopped Juan Francisco Estrada for a lineal championship and he's fighting Pedro Guevara next. Those lower weightclasses mean nothing there is just a few pounds between them. They created those small weight classes to sell fights as title fights. It’s business for the most part. You have to take that into consideration when weighin in on the lower divs.

If Usyk beats Fury again, than it is him. Bivol - Beterbiev winner will also be in conversation, if it will be a clear win.

No question - two absolutely shocking KO victories. Miller did better than Hrgovic or Joshua - that speaks to hard Dubois worked in camp for these last two fights. Fighter of the year.

Seriously though. How many ranked opponents has Hrgovic faced? If you actually look at his resume, I don't really see why people have a problem with saying that he's a hypejob. Fami has been pretty consistent thinking that Hrgovic was overrated from what I've seen. So you can't really pin other people thinking he was overrated on fami. And when his next best wins are guys like 199th ranked Radonjik or Demsey McKean, etc... He was extremely lucky to get the win over Zhang, and I've been on record numerous times saying he didn't deserve it. I happen to agree that it ought to be beyond dispute that Nery and Doheny have both achieved more in their careers. And don't give me any of the crap about weak divisions. Heavyweight is so weak that 45 year old Luis Ortiz with all his losses is still ranked in the top 10 by some of the alphabet organizations.

He upset two top HW’s by dominating stoppages. They were not even come from behind wins, or some lucky punches landed. He dominated and stopped both Hrgovic and AJ this year. I think that earned him Fighter of the Year if we are being fair. I gave him fighter of the year last year too after koing Usyk.

Hrgovic held an interim belt that he got from a fight where he got a gift decision and should've been TKO'd when he turned his back against Zhang. And again, if Inoue wins in December Doheny will be his 3rd best win of the year. And Inoue is the actual world champion, he's not carrying around a fake belt that was stripped from a guy who already knocked him out on a jab like Dubois is.
