He is behaving like top boxing star should behave. They tell him to fight Benavidez. he says, f.uck off, nobody is gonna tell me who should I fight and for how much money. They tell him to fight Crawford. He says, Crawford has done like nothing to deserve a fight ( which is true). And Canelo is right. He is a top boxing star in American and Mexican market, and nobody should order him who should he fight. Pro boxers are not cowards. It is business. It is dangerous sport. Nobody wants to take unnecessary risks. Fury fought Usyk, because he got a crazy money for it. Canelo is doing the same thing with Benavidez. He is telling to Turki: ok, give me my money or I won't fight Benavidez. Nelo might fight benny, but it might be after he loses? Best to fight an unbeaten benny. Or if Benny beats bivol/beterbiev winner, then Nel o can fight benny. Or Nel o might duck Benny more? Who knows? bennie has looked too good, his workrate was too high, canelo would certainly lose a decision to him at this point. he might fight him if he sees bennie slip, which he hasnt looked as good lately and if he grows accustomed to 175 coming back down to 168 will be very hard. but for now bennie not showing power doesnt really matter that work rate canelo cannot keep up with, he would drop a decision on that alone.

Otherwise, go and kick rocks" Changing the purse split from 50/50 to 70/30 in his favour. Telling Usyk his split would be reduced by 1% for every day he delayed accepting it. Pulling out of dates. Pretty sure he was being sarcastic lol. But the facts remain for Canelo. He has faced either the boogie men, goat, champs, and lineal champs in all the divisions he's fought in. That is why he has reach his status. Sure the Benny fight would be great but Bivol is better. So saying he is afraid of Benny is non sense. He is also in a unique position so yeah he can call the shots and make the most lucrative fights for himself and plan the his next major challenge has he pleases.
