cant get threads to the top cant get rid of threads at the top, this place is falling to pieces, like AJ's career
Canelo must be the king because we can't get rid of his thread and it's always difficult to find current fight threads. This has turned into a helluva site. Haha

Why is this sticky still here? There's no sticky for DAZN card which is active now, but this just sits here for a week Who's running this fiasco?
Another week and it’s still here :lol1::lol1:
He only went up to 168lbs to duck Jermall Charlo, Derevyenchenko and because Benavidez was stripped of the wbc title.
It's too bad we never got that Jermall fight at 160.
Definitely going to appreciate Canelo's last few bouts--hell, I may even go to one of his events before he hangs em up for good. He's closing in on 20 years as a pro and still able to perform at this high level, though he's no longer in his prime. Hopefully the Benavidez fight happens sometime next year, though, sadly, Canelo has other options.
I'm looking at what we're left with as far as stardom in the sport of boxing...it's kinda bleak if we're being honest. We have guys like Tank, Shakur, Teo, Devin, and Ryan to look forward to. Where are the $10-20M dollar PPV fighters who clear 1M homes? These guys don't appear to be that, but Tank is closest as far as household names is concerned.
Things are changing in the sport, I just hope it's changing for the better.
I would pick McCumby over Berlanga, no joke. Canelo should have ran through him, just like a real elite 168 pounder would have done. Benavidez would destroyed him within 6 rounds. This was a mediocre performance at best.
Canelo used to weigh 174 on fight night when he fought at 154. 168 is his natural weight.
Difficult to believe people are trying to somehow glorify Canelo's win over Berlanga just because his opponent went all 12 rounds and had an undefeated record against no top 5 ranked contenders, title challengers or former world champions at age 27.
The highest Canelo has been was against Khan at a catchweight of 155, was up to 187. That's 32 pounds. Quite Doubt he is fighting a fighter much heavier than himself in Edgar, considering he has acclimated to the division, he have to amputate a leg to make 154-160 now. The reason Berlanga did alright is because he didn't engage enough to get countered with something that would had ended thre fight by fighting carefully in the backfoot and even then Canelo gassed relatively quickly.

I think that’s the weight he’s comfortable at in his 30s, but I don’t believe SMW is his optimal fighting weight. Canelo is 5’8” on a good day. Despite his stocky frame he could still make 160 lbs comfortably with the same training regiment that he did 5 to 10 years ago. Canelo remains an elite fighter at 168 pounds for sure but this is because of his skills. As we’ve seen, when he fights big 168 pounders and natural light heavyweights even his big punch doesn’t carry.

Thats only in the mind of the haters
Any close win for canelo is a Lost in their mind.
Canelo has better resume than Crawford and Inoue , better than both...lol
Yes, after I was a delude fan I saw thru the fog. It seems you are still in it.
He dominated and dropped a young guy who was probably 20+ pounds heavier on the night. Give credit to Berlanga’s chin. Canelo looked very solid, but he’s not fighting his natural weight (154-160) anymore.

Dude, really? First you claimed that canelo had never fought someone smaller than him after Mayweather fight. Khan and cotto where both smaller than him in terms of weight
You gonna prove this claim or what ?
He's boxing beautifully, but that storied power seems to be fading.

"Biv beat the brakes off Nelo !
:haha:
This comment struck a nerve. You keep bringing it up and yet you won't tell us how many rounds you think Canelo won. You'd rather deflect and answer with a question.
You, or anyone else, would be hard-pressed to find more than two rounds to give Alvarez and that was reflected in fan scorecards and the opinions of boxing scribes.
Of course, the judges scorecards of 115-113 were a reflection of the favor Alvarez enjoys with judges, same as the 114-114 scorecard he got with Mayweather.
Try tell me your not triggered by Benavidez when every other word you type is "Benny" :bsflag:Benavidez is your dad!
(While not mentioning Benny in the comment you quoted :haha: )
"Hmmm....which LMAO gif should I attach to the above nonsense...."
Give me a minute :)

The reality is you are triggered by GGG because he defeated Canelo and you're triggered by Benavidez because he will defeat Canelo who himself is very aware of it. Everyone can see it lol
