Victor Ortiz is also fighting on the Mayweather exhibition

I didn't think this event was actually going to happen. I thought it would get cancelled. I guess Floyd vs Gotti 2 will actually happen in Mexico. I wonder how long Floyd will keep doing these... Yep it’s happening for sure, I bought my 2 for 1 tickets in the 5th section from ringside for the interesting price of 6,691 pesos, which is essentially 6-6-6 But I’m sure that was just a coincidence, lol So each ticket was about 174 dollars

Not saying he could had been great, but Victor Ortiz had the skills and athletic ability to have beaten the likes of Marcos Maidana and Josesito Lopez if he didn't give up quite quickly. I always liked Ortiz’s style, I am partial to fighters who use the high guard I think he had Zab Judah syndrome, a gifted fighter who was so use to running over his opponents when they were brought to that dark place in the ring they weren’t use to fighting form the bottom and found a way out of the fight But hey everyone is human

I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t end up happening, but he’s still listed on boxrec for the event on the 31st, and there’s a flyer of it on his Instagram that was posted August 7th. So he should at least be in decent shape instead of off the couch since he was training for an actual fight / is possibly still fighting. Side note, the Alan Picasso - Azat Hovhannisyan fight should be a heck of a scrap on the card Mayweather-Gotti card. Ortiz has a pro fight schedule a week after? I know he’s on the exhibition, but I really don’t think it does anything to convince anybody about whether they buy the fight or not. He was an exciting fighter BACK THEN for sure. I doubt he comes into any meaningful shape, though. Have you seen him lately? He’s on CAMEO with a couple of kids and a dad bod. No I haven’t seen him since his last fight, yeah that figures he won’t be in any kind of shape either A quick cash grab and back to the sofa for Ortiz I guess I hope the dude he is fighting tries to take him out so at least there will be some action But I won’t lie I’m getting kind of excited for Saturday night Im a boxing geek
