the problem with going to the body is that it puts you in too close to your opponent. Bud was going to the body, but obviously didn't like what was coming back at him in return and that's why he stopped. The same with Derevchenko vs GGG. He was hurting GGG to the body, but stopped going there for obvious reasons. Bud loves to fight in the southpaw stance. The punch most southpaws are susceptible to is the straight right. Bud is about to turn 37 years old. He needs to have a few fights at 154 and call it a day before he gets stretched. 168 should not be an option. He can't even beat Janibeck at 160Janibek is another one of those unorthodox awkward Central Asian style with an extensive amateur background. I think TBud struggles with him too
Jan could be done at 160
couldnt make it to his last fight due to being overdrained
I think he is forced to 168
TBud called a switch hitter but fights southpaw 80% of the time
I barely remember seeing him orthy VS Israil
matter fact Israil had success stance switching when he landed some sht out the southpaw stance
I thought TBud would fight orthy to invite Israil's body jab and counter it with an overhand or left hook
He can stop Israil by focusing on a body attack
I think Israil can win too if he figures out how to land the jab upstairs. he would have won fight 1 had he gotten the jab upstairs working

It's weird to say, but after the Madrimov performance, I'm not looking forward to him against nearly anyone at this point, lol.
Perhaps give Spence Jr. a rematch at 154lbs? See if the additional weight makes ANY difference? Probably not, but it would be against a named opponent that still has a fanbase and whether he takes another beating or can give it back, he makes for an exciting matchup win or lose.
If not, maybe just ride into the sunset with your faculties intact. I think his Spence win was his magnum opus performance of his career and it will be hard to top that as he gets older.
For money - Canelo (nothing else will sell as well - although with Turki's purse strings it's irrelevant if it sells well - so an Ennis fight could be good financially)
For legacy - Canelo, assuming he wins or even if he loses a competitive decision. OR a belt at MW and SMW - can fight Lara at 160 and Shishin at 168
For fans - Ennis - this has the most intrigue for me and I thin many others.
** Note - although undisputed at 154 would be great for legacy and pocket, I don't thin he can do it - he'd lose one, maybe 2 fights and by the time a 4th belt is available he'd probably be close to 39 yrs old in 2026
Terrence Crawford should just try and become the Undisputed Champion at 154 pounds 'Don't chase individual fighters, pursue the World titles'.
Because if Terrence Crawford can become the Undisputed Champion at 154 pounds, in my opinion? This would support challenge and ambition to fight Canelo Alvarez.
If Canelo Alvarez fought Jermell Charlo, who was the Undisputed Champion at 154 pounds, then? There is a likely hood that Canelo Alvarez would fight Terrence Crawford once he is the Undisputed Champion at 154 pounds.
Note: Jermell Charlo is the WBC, and WBC 154 pound Champion in recess. Right now the mass consensus is that the match up between Terrence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez 'Does not make much sense for Alvarez, as Crawford performance at 154 pounds so far has not been super great. But if Crawford can become the Undisputed Champion, and potentially fights Jermell Charlo and beats him? Then the perception of the Terrence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez match up, will alter dramatically.
To conclude: For me personally, I think currently right now 'Canelo Alvarez beats Terrence Crawford. Alvarez has more experience at fighting Elite to World level fighters, and? Alvarez has fought many fighters, that people would in my opinion back to really push Crawford if not beat him'.
Fighters such as Miguel Cotto, and Shane Mosley 'The versions of Cotto, and Mosley that fought Alvarez. Would in my opinion, beat every single fighter on Terrence Crawford's boxing resume to date.
The game on a fight by fight basis, people's perceptions are always been altered and effected.Terrence Crawford's performance vs Israil Madrimov was not super great, but the fact are? Terrence Crawford is not the WBA 154 pound Champion, that would suggest that he is one of the best fighters in that divisions etc.
TBud went from overrated to underrated in the span of 2 fights lol
he was at his all time high coming off his best performance against his best opponent Errol
immediately after he’s in the toughest fight of his career
sometimes the opponent has the right style and is a good fighter himself
TBud will win wider in his next fight

Turkii doesn't get to decide who anyone fights..
Crawford vs Canelo is still the biggest payday for Crawford and it doesn't need to be paid for by Turkii.
Crawford against any non-legendary fight won't net him much for is pockets or legacy. Crawford knows that a potential win against Canelo would put him at a level beyond Pacquiao, Floyd, Tyson, and Ali. That is what he wants and it is now or never.

Now with this I can agree. Crawford fought south paw ln order to neutralize Madrimov’s jab. However, he compensated for the loss of his jab by constantly shooting those lead right hands.
I believe Bud felt he could have eaten those right hands a lot better than he could have eaten those jabs because at least from the South paw stance he could at least see those right hands coming.
However, fighting in orthodox; It would have been difficult to see those many right hands coming in behind a jab.
A good jab has a tendency of temporarily blinding an opponent for a split second just before those right hands land.
Which could have left Crawford potentially stunned or even badly hurt by them.
I would prefer a rematch with Madrimov and I think Bud would stop him this time. I think he would make the necessary adjustments by not getting hit with those lead right hands so much.
However, he would have to fight this fight in his orthodox stance rather than the southpaw stance. It's because Israil proved that he is really good at fighting against southpaws.
Fighting in the southpaw stance leaves Bud very vulnerable to Madrimov's lead right hands. They never hurt him because he saw them coming. Nonetheless, they were still eye-catching blows for the three official judges. I thought TBud would fight orthy to invite Israil's body jab and counter it with an overhand or left hook

the itinerary I have in mind
Israil 2
Israil Trilogy
Jermell Charlo because he's the vacated undisputed or whoever beats him between now and then
Jaron Ennis, can he take the torch?
