The trouble with the todays boxing is that the fighters get to much exposure

I am an old man and I remember when fighters only got press before a big fight or got a write up in a boxing magazine that when you would actually read it the information in it was at least 3 months old Now every fighter has some way of building their brand and hyping themselves way out of proportion so that the fans expect something that the fighters actually can’t deliver Thus the letdown when they actually fight is inevitable In the old days you would find out about a fighter normally after watching them a few times and only getting a vague insight on their background, which led to better viewing and much better match ups because fighters weren’t trying to protect their brand
