Estrada is a good fighter, and him v Bam was a great fight to watch.
Bam obv has more power, but Estrada caught him lots of times, and also missed a bunch.
Bam used angles and in fact that liver shot was off an angle. There was a moment in one of the rounds where Estrada move to the side and caught Bam good.
So my thought was that Bam likes to use the angles but looked vulnerable to them too (at least in this fight).
Alright, so props to both guys. But what would you have told Estrada in the corner between rounds?
After a few rounds it seemed to me like he needed to stay in close and make it a phone booth fight. Nothing wild, just stay tight and try to land in between Bam's punches. He did land some good body shots at times. At range he just couldn't get off, Bam's jab was too consistent and his counters too sharp and creative.
Estrada reminds me so much of Marquez. Marquez was patient with Pacquiao and calculated with his counters. Estrada would need to be the same, defense 1st the counter. The old vet will have to set traps as well. I think Bams just too much for him now though regardless.
