"Pretty Boy" Mayweather in his younger days without any hand injuries vs. the current version of Gervonta "Tank" Davis today at 135lb or 140lb.
Who wins in what particular fashion?
i remember a few loma fans back in the day dared to put loma v floyd and others and got laughed off the place but its ok to do it with tank who hasnt even faced the top guys in his division & hes had plenty of people to choose from over the years as well, lots of guys do well v lower ranked guys & actually tank went life and death with pitbull actually so its all a bit weird really
This fight could sell if it happens. Probably doesn't matter who wins as long as it makes money. That's the important thing, especially in this sport.
That's if Tank can make 147 or if Mayweather "today" can still make 147? I've been told he walks around 154-160+. It's been years since he last fought at 147. If I re-call the McGregor fight in 2017?
Very long time.
Floyd would make it look EASY. Tank is good but Floyd was on another level SKILL wise. All that power ain't shet if you won't be landing shots.
The operative principle here is "levels to the game." Tank has yet to beat a marquee fighter at his weight with no handicaps. When he actually beats another young lion, with no clauses, at least one can see how he looks at the next level. Martin was made to order for Tank.
:lol1: !!! Sometimes I wonder are you that deluded that you believe what you say or are you just straight up retarded?
How could you possibly say that?
“I don’t just cite rankings and turn my brain off” that is LITERALLY what you do :lol1: When it suits you.
You literally just days ago credited Ken Norton for beating Duane Bobick. Do you actually consider that an impressive win? Have you ever actually seen Bobick fight? No you haven’t. Hence why it’s literally what you do.
You actually tried to argue that Fulton and Spence have the same level resume and deemed it a “fact” because they’ve beaten the same amount of ranked fighters. Literally no context to it, just simply because of the rankings.
I’ve seen you heap praise on Rigondeaux for beating Rico Ramos because he was “ranked” when Ramos is garbage.
You are the literal epitome of brainlessly citing rankings, while picking and choosing when they matter depending on the fighter.
You are doing it IN THIS THREAD.
Umm can I weight in on this one? I vote... Both r e t a r d e d and deluded. Rankings are relative. Just using them in an argument, haphanstanz, is silly. They matter with context. Daggum would rather go off on a tangent, trying to look for the most obscure details, to prove Wilder fought a different level of competition, than look at reality. He is doing the same with Floyd. The Spence Fulton resume is classic for Daggum lol. There is one more fool that will tell you how good Duane Bobick is, that would be Queen B... putting Daggum in select company.

Nothing to do with what I said you dumb fuck.
You really are a glutton for punishment, aren't you? :lol1: How many times do I have to stamp on your head before you realise I make you look like the dribbling retard you are every time we interact?

Pump the brakes. When he was with Roger, Floyd got hit more in the lower weights. If Corley the c fighter's c fighter could tag him good @ 140, I give Tank a shot.
I'm talking smaller height wise, Floyd had issues hitting those guys clean pay attention
We are talking boxing not basketball, smaller in boxing is weight, I try to pay attention that's why Im careful with words that's why I said Manny was smaller from 130 to 154 except against Floyd I believe Manny was a little heavier, Cotto Hatton and Maidaina were all heavier Cotto Maidana by a lot.
He didn't have problems landing on Cotto Hatton Manny or Maidana other than the class of fighter they were he out
landed on all of them.
Other than Manny who was about 2/4 pound smaller across 5 divisions, they weren't smaller where did you get that from, Cotto Hatton Maidana all outweighed him on fight night, maybe even Zab did but I don't know what he was, people just go blah and never research anything they rather roll with small talk than actually finding out the facts.

Haters are always the same, put them back in their box and its crickets until they start the same BS somewhere else, its just unreal how they function.

I had a good laugh on that one lol.
He is the most contradictive flip-flopping poster on the forum, I think he just forgets what he says from thread to thread, and when it comes to Floyd he spins more dribble than a lippy dog on a hot day, he is hater to the core with no logic or consistency other than talking sht.
i am evaluating everyone equally. you just dont like that it makes people like tank and wilder look bad. thats the whole point. i never said floyd fought bums or anything like that. i said he cherry picked, avoided fights and waited for people to get old which is unequivocally true. why you are insulted or find that controversial i have no idea. i dont just cite rankings and then turn my brain off, the rankings are simply a guide to follow. the guys he fought pre ndou were more impressive. the guys he fought post ndou all had a catch. pre ndou floyd wouldnt wait for pac and cotto to be knocked out etc...

and how many years did floyd fight post ndou? floyd had fought on the championship level for only 5 years when he fought ndou. he fought for another 14 years after that. not really comparing the same thing now are we? 5 years to 14, and if you look at the stats floyd fought 4 fights against the #1 best guy in the division in that first 5 year span and only had 4 fights against the #1 best guy in the division in his last 14 years and one of those was a catchweight fight so that is dubious. thats a pretty dramatic drop in level. just like i said. even when you look at top 5 guys, he fought 5 pre ndou and 9 after so 5 in 5 years and then 9 in 14 years. how is that not a drop in opposition?
no it surely did not increase as the numbers show.
So he fought 9 after and 5 before? :lol1: That is a drop to you?
He actually fought five #1 ranked guys post Ndou by the way; Gatti, Baldomir, Cotto, Canelo and Pacquaio.
What about P4P ranked fighters? How many did he beat pre Ndou compared to post Ndou?
How many world titles did he win pre and post Ndou?
He beat either a Top 5 ranked or Top 10 P4P every single year he was an active fighte fought post Ndou except 2014 where it was Top 10 ranked ;
2005 - Gatti #1
2006 - Baldmoir - #1
2007 - De La Hoya - #3
2009 - Marquez P4P #2
2010 - Mosley - #3 P4P #3
2011 - Ortiz - #2
2012 - Cotto - #1
2013 - Canelo #1
2014 - Maidana - #9
2015 - Pacqauio - #1 P4P #2
So for 9 years straight post Ndou he consistently beat Top 5 and P4P ranked fighters. Going by your rankings that you deem as “facts”
How could you possibly argue that’s a drop in competition? At worst it’s the same level.
at the time I saw Floyd do it and thought nice any elite fighter can do that defensive maneuver
How off I was
people forget that weight determines size in boxing
boxing is weightclasses not heightclasses nor reachclasses
Floyd is a lean ectomorph. small manny even outweighed Floyd on fight night by a pound or two
manny was the favorite to win according to the fan poll conducted by hbo lmao
Yep exactly, people dont realize casually believing a lie doesnt serve them, this life long process actually accumulates and molds who they are, yet along the way they believe anything that agrees to their preferences, I was married to a shrink at one point she taught me a lot about human behavior.
Floyd gave away lots of weight on occasions going right back to LW where he gave Castillo and Corrales over 10 pound on fight night, on the contrary Manny was 5 pounds heavier than Morales and about the same as Barrera and JMM at 130 and 2lb smaller than JMM at WW., fight night weight is the most important I wish it was required they were officially weighed an hour before the fight and that weight was disclosed.
hell floyd was slipping cottos uppercut, i never even seen another fighter do that. i seen uppercuts miss sure but an uppercut where the guy is right inside in range its right there to land and floyd sees cotto drop his shoulder for the uppercut and pulls back out of range slipping the upper cut in fractions of a second is some other worldly ****.at the time I saw Floyd do it and thought nice any elite fighter can do that defensive maneuver
