Valero didn't even live long enough to be over hyped. Berlanga should of just died before his first round knock out streak stopped.:rolleyes: He has 14 yrs of hype building, that's what happens after death either built bigger or shot down, the masses and hype is bigger fantasy land than Hollywood could dream of being.

From what I saw of Valero, he wasn't on Tank's level.

Shakur is the one guy I’d pick to beat him at 135. I think that’s a tough stylistic matchup for Tank. I definitely agree He can outbox him without doubt imo and then do his casual run and hide for a few rounds lol

Valero never got to prove how good he is. Saying he’d beat Tank, is based on nothing but fantasy. His best win was DeMarco for god’s sake. Even Broner brutalized him. I remember Valero even got picked by Roach to fight Pacquiao before his death. Roach knew Valero’s defense was going to get him in trouble vs Pacquiao. Tank would be way too fast and too powerful. I haven’t even read a post properly breaking down why Valero would win. This is just a very hot take.

Yes stank is or was more accurate puncher but I’d say Valero hit a lot harder than Tank and that would be the intrigue in this fight ; if Edwin could catch him All class C fighters have ever fought have put a dent in his face. Valero comes back from the dead today and fights as a corpse and still kills tank.

I think Valero would had shocked Tank with his punching power, granite chin and ferocity. Wouldn't be odd if Edwin scored multiple knockdowns or beat him onto a bloody pulp considering Davis himself gets caught fairly often. However Valero's recklessness might be his downfall against Davis's timing. Not that he lacked defense, he could slip punches utilizing waist movement and block with his gloves. But you could catch him clean while he was on the offensive. He had a porous defense similiar to let's say Eduardo "Sugar" Nunez. But then again he was never stopped and always recouped. I see this as a close bout because despite Valero's atheltic ability and KO ratio, he did not live up to his potential due to his personal demons where he could focus and polished his skills further and compensate for his flaws.
