Is this a foregone conclusion in Abdul Wahid's favor?
Anything can happen in boxing. What's next for Davis if he loses? What's next for Martin if he wins?
It's ANOTHER walk in the park for Wahid. Fanboys love paying for these forgone conclusion Wahid fights. Wake me up when he fights a top guy...and don't say Martin is cause b4 this fight was signed he wasn't even top 10. You can thank the wba for that.
I'll watch Benavidez then go to the bbq I'll already be later for
Anyone with a prediction to offer is, as ever, invited to make one on this week's Pick Em thread. Let's see what you got gentlemen...

But yeah,Tanks a hot favourite for good reason. Smart money for me says Thank by mid or late rounds KO
Tank loses rounds and makes them close against subpar competition so Frank should be able to bank rounds for the first half.
If Frank has the right strategy he could force Davis to overcompensate down the second half and capitalize off of mistakes.
I'm just not sure if Frank has enough resolve to follow that sort of plan should he get stunned or knocked down.
In my opinion Tank is at his best when he presses forward instead of trying to box off the back foot.
Quite the opposite for me. He's dangerous when he's being pressed and on the ropes. Of course, it's not always the case.
Martin should learn a thing or two from Pitbull Cruz.
Anyways, we'll see the outcome this Saturday.

The Ghost has a ghost of a chance if we're going off his last few outings. Best we can say is both men are on equal footing as far as recent activity is concerned.
I'd like to see Martin pull the upset, but Tank probably agreed to fight him for a reason.
I don't think Tank will look good in this fight and I see a controversial decision coming his way. As most people see, Martin will win the early rds but I foresee Martin boxing and countering the 2nd half of the fight giving the appearance Tank is in charge but Martin will land good counters.
Controversial MD for Tank. Maybe 1 card a draw, 1 wide card for Tank and one close card for Tank.
Probably Tank by UD. Martin was prematurely pushed to the top of the rankings without a signature win. He's a decent counter-puncher and good at neutralizing his opponents jab. From what little I've watched of him he tends to lunge towards his opponent with his chin out in front of him. That could prove costly.
martin doenst look very good and is over-ranked based on what hes done but if you see an easy mark you should take them down
You are such a phony.
If it’s someone you like the opponent rankings are fine. Yet when it’s someone you don’t you always say the opposition ranking is false.
Geez daggum have some integrity and credibility.
Tank has really low volume. If Frank can be slick on the outside and have a higher work rate than Tank without getting caught, he'll be able to bank some rounds before getting sparked out in the later rounds.
I don't think it's impossible though. We've seen some very improbable upsets, even recently.
I doubt it. He didn't "jump to an early lead" against a lower-level competition with Harutyunyan, let alone with Tank Davis. Frank was losing in the early rounds till his corner told him to ramp it up in the later rounds. That's when he rebounded and turn the fight around. He looked good in the later rounds though.
It's more about what Tank does for me. I think Davis will be careful and take his time trying to calculate timing and distance which will allow Frank to put some rounds in the bank.
As for the Harutyunyan fight, I don't know what to make of it. Frank looked off and he even said he felt off in that fight. Artem's eye was getting worse and he started to fade which allowed Frank's conditioning to play a critical factor. That late KD helped Martin eke out the win.
Tank will win via KO somewhere in the later half of the match, and his fans will drool over it, and the boxing records book will show that Tank finally fought a guy ranked top 5 in his weight class, and then the lightweight division will continue to live on without involving Tank in an unification fight.
Martin will jump to an early lead then get caught and sparked in the second half of the fight. Frank didn't look special against Artem Harutyunyan although every fighter can have an off night....
