Of the three Lubin, Kelly, Vito, Vito is the easiest fight to make. I can see Lubin and Kelly fighting each other in an eliminator for IBF, or if Lubin fights Murtazaliev for the title, then Kelly will take an easy fight to pad his record.
Lubin, Kelly, and Vito mentioned. Wouldn’t mind any of the three. Vito fight should just be made & get out the way, he fought a month ago so lines up well, but imagine theyll let Vito get a TR debut and probably fight on a card together at least to promote it up
Zayas could have pressed things a bit more, but hats off to Teixeira for still being a slippery bastard.
Zayas had no idea what to do against a southpaw. He should have faced a few before he got to this point in this career.
No clue what the plan is for Zayas , but I imagine a Mielnicki fight is on the horizon within a year or so, maybe a fight with fellow PR in NY Ceballo or a vet like Vlad Hernandez who’s coming off a big win. Old man Trout is still out there lingering for a fight., lol
Tex should consider hanging em up, but I could see him trying his hand at 160 since his last 3 fights were there & above
2 out of 3 of Puerto Rico's boxers have won, Matias vs Paro is next next week. Would be awesome if he also won.
Subriel Matias is the best PR fighter right now and guy they should be featuring in Madison Square Garden to be honest.
100-90 Zayas on my card, got 10 solid rounds in against a southpaw but also showed that he isn't ready for the guys at the top yet, need to continue to build him one step at a time. I'd really like to see him against Carlos Ocampo in the Fall, I think that is the perfect next opponent for him, then you can start looking at eliminator type fights
I don't see Xayas holding a world title, but he's still young.
We'll see how things unfold, I think it'll be a few years until they put him in that position.
Speaking of, where is Castano at? I hope he didn't decide to ride off into the sunset after that pay days against Charlo
His instagram says he's looking for a comeback fight. We'll see.
Those beatings Teixeira took from Castano and Kurbanov really took it out of him. He's only 33, way too young to look this shot.
