P4P boxer fighting a guy with 0 wins against a top contender and won a vacant belt fighting Kurbanov. Madrimov is not good and is only 10-0. The narrative will be that Crawford is winning a belt in a new weight class but look who he’s fighting. Said Boots brought nothing to the table and only wanted big fights and he’s fighting a guy with 0 casual fans.
Crawford has always gotten away with fighting mediocre competition and still gets called p4p #1 while other fighters take much bigger risks and still get the cherry pick label. I seriously don’t get it
Another post to try and thrash Bud
Lmfao
Madrimov would even beat Spence imo but he’s a cherry pick for Bud
Folks can’t make this chit up
Literally lmFao
Fundora is literally vacating the WBO world title to fight a guy Crawford knocked out at 147 for 1 belt instead of fighting the Crawford/Madrimov winner for 3 belts.
You can't just post win totals and act like everything is the same. Madrimov has been in tough with Kurbanov (who had recently beaten two former WBO 154 champions in Patrick Teixeira and Liam Smith) and Soro, he has the WBA title, he's a consensus top 3 fighter in the division right now, and he's a 29 year old man who had a very long and successful amateur career. There's a huge difference between a 22 year old prospect with little amateur experience being 10-0 and a 29 year old world titlist who spent over a decade competing in national, continental, and world championship amateur tournaments being 10-0.
And get real, Frank Martin is not a top 3 lightweight. Nobody has him over Tank, Lomachenko, or Stevenson, anywhere. Nobody would be mad at Canelo fighting Munguia in a vacuum, people are mad that he fought Munguia instead of Benavidez. Context is everything.
Did you see what I said? Fundora is not ducking Crawford, it’s a business decision because he’s PBC and even though Crawford kicked Buds ass, a Spence fight in Texas is still bigger than a Crawford fight. That decision is from management, not Fundora and it should be easy to understand.
Madrimov is just not an elite level fighter and you’re not being honest. It doesn’t matter if he’s 29 with an extensive amateur career, that doesn’t translate to the pros. Loma lost to Salido his second fight and all that amateur greatness didn’t mean anything.
You say Canelo should’ve fought Benavidez. Agreed. But Munguia was still heavily criticized as an opponent because nobody was calling for that fight. Same thing, NOBODY was calling for Madrimov and everybody wants to see Bud-Boots. Even more so, this is not a big fight which is the reason he said he wasn’t fighting Boots.
Yeah Tank and Loma are above Frank but I rate him above Shakur at 135. At 135 Shakur hasn’t done anything, and is now fighting a guy Frank beat after a horrible performance.
Fundora never ducked Crawford. He’s fighting Spence because it’s an in house fight and Fundora isn’t a big enough name for PBC to pay Bud the 20 million he asks for. Bud is fighting Madrimov because Turki is financing it. Simple. It’s not about legacy, it’s not about the belt. It’s literally about the money.
Canelo fights a prime 43-0 prime fighter and ppl say it’s a cherry pick. Tank fights top 17-0 top 3 lightweight in Frank Martin and ppl say it’s a cherry pick. Crawford fights 10-0 fighter and people say ‘this is a big test’

The independent rankings of the belt holders at 154
WBC Fundora: TBRB #1, Ring #1, ESPN #1
WBA Madrimov: TBRB #3, Ring #3, ESPN #3
IBF Murtazaliev: TBRB #9, Ring #10, ESPN unranked
Fundora is ducking Crawford to fight Spence. So it's either Madrimov for two belts or Murtazaliev for one belt for Crawford. #2 Tszyu already ducked Crawford to try to fight Thurman, which is how he ended up losing and getting cut against Fundora on short notice.
