How would Tyson Furys legacy be viewed if he loses the rematch against Usyk?

He'll just be the 2nd best HW of the era. This fight with Usyk was the best HW title fight of the past 30 years, so all the "overrated" talk needs to end. If Fury's overrated, then what does that make Usyk who squeaked by with a split decision over him? He was really good, but not a historically great HW, which is how anybody with a brain already saw him.

Depends how he loses, if it’s another close fight then it’ll be fine but if he gets knocked out or stopped his legacy is done, especially when you combine it with how badly wilder is doing

He is a legendary fighter. He was the man for a long time. He, and we, overrated his head movement and boxing abilities. He got his clock cleaned by multiple guys many times, real hard damaging knockdowns. But he had possibly the most heart of any fighter in history. The end of the Wilder 1 fight will be replayed for generations. No he isn’t. Won a stinkfest against Wlad. Ducked the rematch twice and was banned for cheating. AJ then cleaned Wlad out instead. That was 2015. Since then (9 years ago) he’s beaten Wilder twice in 3 attempts. That’s it. That’s his whole career. No other names worth mentioning, unless you count getting battered around the ring by a middleweight and flattened by a 0-0 novice who was knocked cold inside 2 rounds on his next fight.

Overrated but still great

Fury's standing can go up or down in a second loss to Usyk. If he goes out meek people will double down on the current view he's a bit overhyped. I think if he gives it everything and goes out on his back people will be kinder
