Is Daniel Dubois the best young Heavyweight in the world??

DD will get real belt only in good matchmaking. Anyone who will ACTUALLY punch gonna to destroy him. i get brits are trying to find next big thing. But future is bleak after Fury and AJ are gone, probably same statement can be made about HW in general. So many bums like Hrgovich. Moses Itauma is being touted as the next big British heavyweight. He does look good though, only 19, lightning quick hands and combinations, good skills, power, movement etc etc. Very very different to most of the typical robotic heavyweights today in terms of style. We'll see though, he's only beating stiffs at the moment, which is to be expected for a 19 year old that's not fought much yet. I'll reserve my judgement until he starts stepping up but he definitely has plenty to work with.

He is a very experinced hw by the age of 26. I expected him to lose badly against Hrgovic. he just walked through his punches and beat the Croat down. With Fury and Usyk being 2-3 fights away from retirement, Wilder probably retired, I like Dubois`s chances to become the real title holder.

He's had two fights in a row now where he's HAD to suck it up, bite down and push and he's done so. Clearly there's still going to be question marks, but he's answering his critics now, in resounding fashion. If anyone predicted that Dubois was going to walk Hrgovic down face first, Carl Froch style, soak up punishment for 6 rounds and put it on Hrgovic and make him wilt for a second half stoppage I think everyone would have said you were smoking the ready rock. Credit is due. yeah he did very well I wouldn't rule him out quitting again though, he clearly has it within him to do it, even if he has shown he can bite down. It's like Victor Ortiz, he used to always get the same questions asked about him too but now and again like in the Berto fight he just decided he wouldn't be denied that night. He did revert to type later though. That's why I wouldn't say Dubois is never going to bow out easily again, I believe he will at some point. But for now he's shown he also has the ability not to if he wants it enough and that's a good sign.

It was a legal punch, it was on the belt line, which is not low. The ref made a bad call. He clearly make contact far below the belt. The finish of the punch was on the belt line but it came from below and contacted the groin guard. It was plain as day, the ref saw it in real time and Usyk saw immediately that he wasn't going to count. It was low.

Daniel did something that was "old school" tonight. He just decided that he and the Stiff Croat would go ba l l s to the wall, hit for hit, fck boxing. And it turns out that he not only got the stiff croat's respect, but he was the last man standing. Nice! Job well done... But unfortunately? his lack of defense will never fly against the top of the division. Maybe this was just an exception, but his heavy physique and his lack of D will get him killed against AJ, Parker, Fury, etc. AJ hits a lot harder than Daniel was hit tonight.

Well, it was a low blow. Tough to say, he’s quit twice in hard fights. He’s come back to stop two guys that everyone has been screaming is overrated. guess we’ll see
