Why I don’t like Modern Boxing

Era is garbage. Fury got beat by a ufc fighter (and you are comparing his sloppy skills to bowe) usyk got knocked down by a B class fighter and they called it an illegal shot. Ryan garcia talks crap all day on Twitter vs focusing on his skill set. Haney is a pitty patter that can't crack an egg and has glass for a chin. More focused on jelry buying than improving punching power. No big fights happen when we want them and if they do it’s too late and possibly the other guy has to be half dead from a car wreck (spence crawford) No canelo benividez. No tank lomachenko, no boots vs crawford, social media followers is more important then skill set....people talk on twitter more then actually fighting (shakur) this is a trash era and anyone who denies it need serious help. i think if there was some type of ufc style one top belt top dog clear each division & no ducking and diving top guys have to duke it out when both are going well etc u would get some really great fights and trilogies even, now its a lot of fantasy matchups but thats not how it is, boxers are a commodity and they and those around them make money keeping their 0, lower risk etc, avoid hard fights for the most part, marinate etc, its a totally different concept, some are worse than others of course and some have to take the hard fights to get paid the big bucks & some dont

Here’s an in depth analysis of why I hate Modern Boxing. I think a lot of y’all are misinterpreting me not liking modern boxing to saying boxing is dead. Bocing isn’t dead but the ethos, chivalry, and culture of it is. Anyway. 1. Fighters are putting up ****tier performances. Draining yourself 20lbs and rehydrating that weight is extremely unhealthy. Not only are fighters losing their chin and power, they are losing their endurance and stamina. Devin Haney coming in to fight prograis as a middleweight is utterly disgraceful. There was hardly any activity in Haney vs García or García vs Tank. Now compare this activity between 3 of the modern “4 kings” to the old 4 kings. Boxers need to stop training like athletes and revert to training like boxersz 2. Social Media. After Devin Haney lost, the amount of hate this man got is absolutely uncalled for, and the amount of people blindly defending ryan garcía is absolutely insane. The amount of tweets and instagram posts ryan has made over what will be his only large win in boxing is absolutely disgraceful. What happened to class? Same with devin haney. Doing this to Loma who was crying and then gassing up the ostarine. I don’t even wanna mention Gervonta yapping to his father (Floyd) or shakur stevenson talking like he’s the one when he’s unproven yet. These guys aren’t even the best fighters in boxing. The best fighters are Canelo, Inoue, Usyk, and Crawford. None of them are social media yappers. Social media disrespect also needs to stop. You think any fighter wants to wake up to 50 replies of a picture of them on the canvas? This is why fighters don’t take risks anymore. Y’all get to their head and it needs to stop, smh. Boxers should be more civilized. Trash talking is okay. Making literal songs about your victory isn’t. With that being said. Boxing ain’t dead.
