Any final predictions?

17-0 Filip Hrgovic vs 20-2 Daniel Dubois
15-0-1 Ray Ford vs 19-0-1 Nick Ball
19-0 Hamzah Sheeraz vs 16-0 Ammo Williams
22-0 Dmitry Bivol vs 22-0 Malik Zinad
18-3-1 Craig Richards vs 17-1 Willy Hutchinson
We did see different fights it seems. At least we can all agree the right man won. I thought two of the judges got it right at 115-113 and only the 3rd judge tried to rob him. Ball had good success in the beginning but started to get hit in the later rounds even to the point where I thought he might be knocked down. Ball was bloodied and you do not get that from being hit to the gloves.
You need to watch it again. He definitely won the later rounds (10-12) along with the 3rd and the 7th.
I'll check those rounds out again.
That blood only came from the one looping left hand when it hit Ball on the nose. Ford did land some shots, but not that many.
Why would Wilder fight for roughly a million or so when he could earn I'm guessing 10 million plus to fight Parker and Zhang. If he had no options then he would have experimented with the new division.
If Wilder is going to fight like a typical anchored heavyweight then this was to be expected as he is really BMI wise an elongated Light Heavyweight.
When he held out for larger purses to fight Ruiz or anybody with a pulse it was sign he was checked out from trying to be hungry contender.
Ball was hitting Ford around the side of the head all night as well as landing loads of uppercuts. Ford was just mostly hitting gloves. Nearly every straight shot did. It was the looping shots that found their target. But mostly, they were blocked too. Ball was snapping his head back constantly in every round.
We definitely saw a very different fight. I'm just glad Ball wasn't robbed for a second time.

You certainly were watching something else and we're all glad the right man won.
Most members thought it was a close fight (Ball took the initial rounds but Ford made a good comeback) and so did the judges. Yes, Ball edged the fight but not by a large margin. And don't forget that in a few rounds, he did look like might be knocked down too.
115-113 is a fair decision from two of the judges. The 3rd one tried to rob him.
Nah, he should've gotten up, hit his chest, scream like King Kong, bounce around, and overcome his brain being physically rattled. He clearly quit.
This is pro boxing. I've never done it, but I know that if it was me, I would've gotten up and actually end up KO'ing Zhang in the very same round.
Dude was conversing with the ancestors and heading towards the light when they said, 'No Warrior King of Wakanda, it is not your time'
I don't really know how to answer that.
What do you think a split decision means?
It means 2 judges go for 1 fighter, the other judge goes for the other 1.
I had Ball clearly winning. It never should have been a split. Ball was far too active for Ford who was way too inactive. A couple of good shots isn't as good as 30 while Ball is bullying him all night.
It doesn't always matter if you're busier but missing while the other guy is sharp-shooting and hitting his target. At more than one point, I thought Ford might be able to get a KD but Ball showed tremendous courage and resistance. Ball won 115-113 IMO but it is not like Ford didn't have any success at all in there.

Almost all those fights were entertaining. The Zhang - Wilder fight was the blandest of the bunch but it still delivered a KO, though it was slightly anticlimactic and you could see Wilder was overmatched.
Yeah yeah I know, I said I was being harsh. Just wanted more from Deontay
Don’t mind me…..I just had to make my contribution to the ‘Do you realize?’ thingy going on in here. Lol
It’s hard to see Wilder go out like that, though.
Yeah it's weird when he spins around like that. No idea how that first punch from Zhang spun him. Wilder has no legs though
Wilder was practicing that spin in camp.
Muscle memory
I know it was a heavy knockdown, but I think Wilder quit. There was no effort to get up or complaint when he was counted out. Didn't look that bothered.
Then again it was a shot from Zhang on the button, and then a totally unguarded killer shot. He still didn't look too bothered though :/
Do you realize his head smacked against the deck when he went down?
Isn't he a Christian? I remember his talks from the Fury fights.
Oops yes you're quite right. No idea why I thought it was Wilder. I was thinking of Tank
He fought poorly, but he didn’t quit. Take a look at the replay and see the full-force hook that landed straight to his teeth. Then watch his body crash to the ground with his legs stiffened up. Give the man credit for having the heart to even get back on his feet after that shot.

I said before the fight that Wilder should instead be fighting at Bridgerweight. 215lbs vs 282lbs is just too much at the top level.
I would understand if Zhang was a gatekeeping journeyman, but he's a top HW.
Wilder may still have it in him if he actually fought guys his size.
I don't think he is into boxing any longer, let alone which weight.
If he were thinking of boxing 2-3 more years, they would have given him 2-3 tune-up fights after the loss and lack of activity to get his timing and confidence back. I think Wilder just thought he could go through one or two fights before he cashes out on the AJ fight. I guess that is why they did not fight at all waiting for that AJ deal. Just to get some retirement money before saying good bye but surely he's not into boxing any longer.
