...that Usyk was landing on Fury? Contrary to the ones that Fury landed on him, they didn't have much effect. But they were there, and they certainly helped him win rounds.
Usyk was stabbing the body all night with clean, scoring punches. It was probably the most key element of his strategy. Fury's nipple protector helped absorb some of the blows but he was feeling the effects by the late rounds nonetheless.
Usyk won the first two rounds basically on body shots alone. Spent that time jabbing Fury's middle.
The body is always easier to hit than the head. But its especially true with Fury because its big, he moves his head a lot and, due to his height and movement, his chin was many times just a couple inches out of reach for Usyk.
Usyk tapped Fury's body throughout the fight, and it definitely contributed to Fury losing some of his steam by the 8th or 9th round. Usyk executed his game plan better than Fury did, and the rest is history.
