The only idiot is you for assuming I haven't worn a cup or boxed. Go sniff some dick that's all your good for. Mentioning my ancestors you weird little kunt..
Why are you touchy about your ancestry? So the punch travelled up and took Usyk's wind, but you're saying he got knocked down for over a minute because his cup pinched him? Embarrassed for ya if so.
This idiot proves once more that it is pointless arguing with fools online. The proof is there in the video, but idiots like this will flatly refuse to see what is right in front of them. Talking about cups as if he has a clue about the nitty-gritty of the game... what an embarrassment to himself and his ancestors.

Lol no it doesn't. Have you ever been hit wearing a protective cup? These idiots making chit up at this point.
That’s exactly how it works. It also pinches the skin down there
To claim that Fury was knocked out by a rookie when discussing the incident of a fight that took place months before between two other fighters only speaks to the guilty conscience of some fans who cannot rationally justify the scandalous decision.
Francis isn't a rookie - he's new to boxing (yes, that counts), but he's someone who has no problem getting in front of a large main-event crowd and knows how to throw and take punches.
The Usyk-Dubois case, it will live for several generations until it becomes some rather distant past. But I think as of now people are equally split which says a lot. A rematch would be good but regardless of whatever today's outcome will be, I doubt it will happen.
Well Dubois will never get a rematch and many would say he doesn't deserve it because he basically quit from a jab and it's not the first time.
Whilst I agree with that also, I think the fact he actually did quit in the fight made people have less sympathy for him regarding the body shot. Most people downplay it by saying "well Dubois quit".
Both things can be true, he can be a both a quitter and also have been robbed of a victory but its like people can't give him any credit because he ended up quitting, so they convince themselves it was low.
Anyone with a pair of eyes can see it was on the belt line if they have the balls to be honest. Most refs would allow that shot on the belt line. Jared Anderson won a fight the very same night with body shots that were no higher than Dubois'.

This was a body shot that happened to hit low.
What Ward did to Kovalev was a blatant combo to the nutsack. Ward needed to have a point deduction, instead he got awarded a KO.
Keep coping. It has been years, so get over it you emotional fangirl.

Go to your local boxing gym, wear a cup and ask the local HW to hit you on the upper side of the cup and see if you still can stand up straight. Then imagine how it would felt if a TOP 10 HW did it with full force. Let us hear about the results.

If that was true then no-one would wear them. Doesn't sound like a great design.
It's supposed to protect them, not distribute the force from punches landed elsewhere to them.
this is EXACTLY how protection works, it disperses force to reduce damage.
some of the replies here are borderline stupid.

Its not a be all end all solution, it prevents your b*lls from getting crushed, thats it, a shot on the cup still hurts and is illegal.
See post 26#, if you hit the top of the protective cup, the force gets distributed especially on those HW blows.

I agree tbh I don't see what was wrong with the shot.
Fury will be tagging that body all night likely.
Ward vs Kovalev was low. This was not
Well said! The irony in Ward-Kovalev being allowed to stand but this being called low...
So saying it looked like a legal punch makes you a "Usyk hater" lol
Everyone knows it was a legal punch, it was beltline and Usyk claimed he was punched in the balls, a clear lie.

This slo-mo shows a clear low blow by DD.

Ok, it wasn't right in the nuts low and we've seen plenty of guys get away with shots like that because they are difficult for the ref to call, unless he has a clear view of what happened. In this case, the ref had a clear view and made the right call, without any appeal from Usyk.
Low blow called by the ref = No count.
No count = No KO.

The image you posted was the end of the punch, there is another video in this thread that shows the full video. The punch starts low and ends up high (where you conveniently take a picture), like an uppercut. If the punch connects with the protective cup than the power of that HW punch distributes across the region due to the protective cup.
There's a clear proof Usyk was lying
in the post match interview in the ring he was asked if he felt Dubois power and he said "no, only in my balls"
Well as we can see from the videos or pictures, unless he's deformed, then clearly not near his balls, so we can see he's lying about that.
He knows it was a body shot.
