The Saudis won't pump this kind of money into boxing forever, in fact they are already slowing down. The undercards are getting weaker, the big fights getting more spread out.
Saudi now have a lot more going on than in the early days of Ruiz vs AJ 2, they don't need boxing that much.
Initially they got into boxing with the aim of presenting the AJ vs Fury undisputed fight, Usyk ruined those plans, they still want to put that fight on and will try and get some sort of belt on the line for it, I'm expecting Fury vs Wardley then Fury vs AJ after that tbh.
Thanks buddy
Did you really need to make a thread about something so noticeable or recognizable as this ???
Let me ask you , what else makes the WORLD go round besides money ???
Lmfao just wow
A lot of obnoxious fans think it’s fear. So it’s not as obvious as you say, to EVERYBODY. You might find it obvious, but a lot of fans will claim a fighter won’t fight someone no matter the amount of money involved.
My fear is prospects lose out.on.proving themselves, and only big reputations get chance and others overlooked. Some might have to be verbal to get attention bakole did well to get Parker with a bit of verbal diahorea
The Saudis entering the scene pushes a lot of boundaries:
Big purses make fighters who otherwise might avoid each other more willing to accept
Promoters are more open to high-risk/high-reward matchups
It also means “best fight the best” can happen faster, before careers drift or fighters age out
That said, money alone doesn’t guarantee greatness. The match has to make sense technically, stylistically, and for the fans. Sometimes the mismatch of styles or overhyping for financial gain leads to disappointing outcomes.

They’re proving it…all it takes is money. Throw money at fighters and all the “ducking” goes away.
Thanks buddy

For fans who want to follow matchups and odds closely, a reliable boxing site can help keep track of upcoming fights and analysis.

Fixed it for you. The Saudi's will offer Canelo his biggest payday to fight Benavides. Fans want it and they will pay to see it.
You live in the past. saudis don`t care what you want.
They are not running a business expecting a return on their investment. The Saudi Fund is set up as a propaganda machine to improve perceptions of the country.
They have billions to burn across boxing, MMA, golf, WWE and soon probably the NBA and NFL.
They can throw big money around because they don’t care about a live gate or PPV return. Some fights can get made but I would still be wary of giving up American sports to the Saudi’s.

Saudi's have already said they'd rather see David B fight the Bivol/Benavidez winner rather than Canelo.
So David will get a Saudi check at least lmfao
Yes, but Saudis will not overpay divas like Tank and Canelo that want to overprice themselves.
Well, they are severely overpaying Diva Fury, so you never know.
He’s big in America and Mexico. I don’t know why he wouldn’t be big in Europe since he has certainly whipped his fair share of Euros.
They'll put everyone out of business and buy TV networks and contracts and then frontrun all deals

Man...nobody knows Canelo here. He is as known as Benavidez, Bivol, Beterbiev, Crawford. Meaning..you must find boxing hardcores to talk about these guys.
I am sorry if I hurt your feelings.
I think my favorite thing so far was Opetaia vacating his new title to fight a mismatch on the Saudi dime. Could use a lot more of the alphabet organizations learning that they're not essential, especially if they're not going to follow their own rules.
People tend to underestimate the Saudis and their financial acumen. Just ask Vegas around the time Hunter Thompson was being his gonzo journalist self. Vegas heard a bunch of Rich Saudis where coming in, and prepared to fleece them with Glee.
The rest is history. The Saudis had a system best represented by when they played roulette. Because they had unlimited money and really didn't give a s*** how much they lost in some interim they would start a bet and keep betting on the same number increasing the bet each time...by the time they hit even if it took a while they were wiping the banks out. You can't do that to this day in Vegas.
Imagine having lost a million dollars on the same number then 2 million and increasing the bet each time to the point where you hit on that number with something like an insane amount of money on the number.
What The Saudis realize is the potential market. As much as they're paying these fighters things are very expensive over there and when it comes to people as a potential market somebody has figured out money is to be made.
The Saudis are willing to throw around huge sums of money without expecting a profit in return. I don’t know how sustainable of a business model that is nor who else would be willing and able to copy it.
Agreed...surely they CAN'T be making money by staging so many megafights this frequently with super-stacked undercards including getting rival promoter's to do business with each other.
Bizarre and unsustainable to say the least.

UFC did it without the money. They anchored everyone to the brand and made the best of them very well paid. Like WWE.
Maybe the Saudis will overpay for a while until the stage is set. Then will make a single UFC style organisation
