A perfect pick without a multiplier is 40pts. -CLOSE is 9 or fewer pts difference, eg 116 - 112, 116 -113 115 - 113 or closer. CLEAR is 10 - 18 pts difference, eg 117 - 111 or below on all three cards WIDE is 19 points or over ie an average of 117 -111 or above on all three cards -If you'd like to change your pick before the fight starts, post in this thread to do so. Ideally tag me so that I don't miss it. -2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points x5 multiplies your points earned by 5. Everyone starts with 3 doubles 2 triples and 1 x5s to use in each four month season. Multipliers may only be played on the bookies underdog in any fight as indicated on the first post of each Pick Em thread bolded under the section entitled 'betting odds'.

I feel a bit guilty for grabbing second spot because you've done such good work here in the Pick'Em and you're always friendly ,funny and upbeat. But my competitive nature is high fiving me right now because I really wanted to win. If by some strange twist of fate YoungManRumble passes away very soon, would I be rewarded the First place winner???:firedevil I have a friend that wants to know. He prepared to do some Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap. No guilt, man - it's maths. 82.9% is superior to 77.1%, therefore... well done! :cool:

It's only fair, and that's why I waited until the official confirmation. I did have a sense that our good friend Damn Wicked had been more accurate. Okay gentleman .. Tatabanya Damn Wicked So.. I've been back through all the threads for this first Round Jan - April and you both picked on every single one of the 35 fights we picked on this season. Tat you picked 27/35 or 77.1% correctly DW you picked 29/35 or 82.9% correctly So for the third place tie break the winner is Damn Wicked Congratulations man.. :beerchug: and commiserations to Tat... your turn will will come brother. Many thanks for all the hard work Tat, as ever this thing wouldn't still be afloat without you. What I've done is post links to all this years Pick Em threads to date on the Masterthread just so it's easier for anyone to go back and check their results and so on. It shouldn't take me too long to go through and pull out all Your and DWs results to estrablish the correct % for each of you. I should really have thought in advance (or just kept up with the full data as we went) about this possibility but this is the only way to do it now. You kindly accepted me here years ago, after the very YMR had pointed me towards The League... Therefore this is the very least I can do to keep this beautiful thing going... :cool:

Citizen Koba, PICK EM CREW : I do not have the correct pick percentage data, which (according to the rules in the masterthread) should be considered first when two players have the same points. I still cannot determine who, between myself and Damn Wicked, is the second and who's third... In absence of the correct pick percentage, I considered the perfect pick data as valid. But I remain waiting for instructions/corrections. Many thanks for all the hard work Tat, as ever this thing wouldn't still be afloat without you. Looking back at the final standings, if there's a demonstration that YoungManRumble deserved this win is that he didn't use even ONE of his three x2 multipliers. Consistency is the name of the game - and he was consistent throughout.

I don't get it. why do you finish above me, we had the same picks but I was 10 pts ahead I'm copying and pasting from the Masterthread: ******************************************************** PERFECT PICKS BONUS As a new feature for 2024 folowing player feedback from the 2022 season we are implementing a new bonus to reward players for consistent accurate picking.Over the course of each 4 month season a tally will be kept of the number of 'perfect' picks (ie correct WINNER, METHOD, DETAIL) made by each player. At the end of the season players will receive a ranking based upon the number of perfect made over the course of the season. The player or players with most perfect picks will receive a 50 point bonus The player or players with second most perfect picks will receive a 40 point bonus The player or players with third most perfect picks will receive a 30 point bonus The player or players with forth most perfect picks will receive a 20 point bonus The player or players with fifth most perfect picks will receive a 10 point bonus In the event that multiple players have the same number of perfect picks over the course of the season they will all be ranked in equal positon and will all receive the full points bonus according to that ranking - ie if 3 players all end up with 5 prefect picks apeice ranking in 4th position then each of them would receive a 20 point bonus at the end of the 4 month season. ****************************************************** Practically speaking, I got 50 extra points because of my seven perfect picks. Hope this clarifies!
