Haney took a beating. Garcia hasn't barely a mark on him. Haney didn't really land anything remotely significant.
This fight was fairly one sided after the 7'th round. Garcia dominated him and Haney had no answers for the speed and power.
Styles makes fights'
I have zero sympathy for Haney. Really don’t care what Ryan did at the scales, coming in 3lbs heavier and drinking beer.
The way Haney hugged Linares, got a gift versus Lomachenko, and comes in at 165lbs+ for a 140 fight, it makes it hard for me to feel any kind of sympathy. I don’t care if you can make the weight. 165lbs on fight is asinine. I hope Garcia was 180lbs just to out-do this fraud.
Then you have Harvey Dock clearly favoring Haney in the fight, allowing him to hug and hold on to Ryan Garcia without a warning, to the point where Dock had to wrestle Haney away from Garcia.
Just for icing on the why I hate Haney cake, in the post fight interview, he claimed Harvey Dock was allowing Garcia to hold a lot. You can’t make this up. Harvey Dock absolutely helped Haney multiple times in multiple ways. Whether it was his intention or not, he did help Haney. And Haney sh/tted on him.
Haney makes himself too easy to hate and root against. Floyd Mayweather Jr picked the right guy to support in Ryan Garcia. I’m glad that one of my favorite fighters of all time doesn’t show this fraud any support.
I just hate weight bullies.
If a guy can't make weight, move up.
Not a fan of Haney's and make it a point to not watch his fights.
I was hoping Ryan wouldn't add shlt to the fight and beat him fair n square.

Haney didn't attend :lol1:
I’m not complaining and please show me where rooting for devin. The other difference is Devin was still cutting weight down to 140. Jmm knew days ahead about the weight
all I said was I’m surprised it’s not a bigger deal. Kinda like Floyd jmm which you keep mentioning
lol Floyd knew as well months before the weigh in and he didn’t bother. It shouldn’t bother you since you also wasn’t bother with Floyd.
people who were bothered when floyd did it has the right to talk be bothered now. With you it’s not the case
What a surprise, however with the belt not moving at this point the catchweight win means little to me.
The good is that it will shut up Daddy Haney for a while, the bad is that Garcia will still be spewing his mouth off as a beltless contender.
I was....let's say angry, how disrespectful Ryan was with the scale.

Not sure why Ry doesn't take the sport seriously.
Being 25 years ''old'' is no longer an excuse.

im saying keep the same energy. You had no problem with it when it’s your favorite fighter doing it against a guy coming up 2 weight classes, now you’re complaining about it because it’s been done to a guy you’re rooting for lol
have some consistency.

how???? its only three pounds
Those 3 pounds are a issue considering how much the weight cut takes out of both since they’re both big for the weight, but considering what was said/thought about Garcia going in, it mattered a quite a bit less for this fight
I haven’t been paying much attention. But does no one care he missed weight by 3 pounds lol. Back in my day that kinda used to matter
I agree, but he was considered a unfocused drunk coke head & mentally unstable going in, so what does missing weight matter in that case
Well he did beat him with skills lol.
You kinda proved my point by bringing up a 15 year old fight. People still care about that Iâm just surprised more donât care that Ryan missed weight badly

Im sure you’re okay with it when Floyd did it to Marquez. You probably said it didn’t matter as he beat him with skills. Lol

Itâs hard to do that when Haney was literally holding on to Garcia every time he got hurt and then his bodyguard Harvey Dock was warning Ryan Garcia.
Garcia won despite facing two people in the ring. He even got a point deducted without warning. Haney never got warned once even though the ref had to yank Haney off of Garcia multiple times throughout the fight. And multiple times in the same rounds.
Considering all that, iâm surprised Garcia managed to win (he deserved it).
i agree with that, harvey dock sucked tonight and protected haney all fight. but there were rounds were garcia would jump on his bike after having haney badly hurt in the previous one, gave stupid rounds away. that's my problem. he gave away the 12 imo for example when he could've finished devin. but instead he decided just to run and stick out his tongue.
how???? its only three pounds
Thats half a wright class tbf
But as people have said, Haney is a weight bully who goes into the ring massive and he had biased officiating on his side so it evens out.
Garcia is taller and longer, he looked flabbier than usual, so yeah he appeared bigger. Despite looking flabbier, his handspeed was still there.

i thought he did OK i just think he is legally r3tarded. dude had haney KO'd on his feet and hurt and never went for it, jump on his bike or tried that stupid "shoulder roll" turning his back on haney so he could punch at will, guy is a moron. but he won fair.

Were they at least visually the same size ?
I knew Ryan was not stepping on the scales, which really pissed me off.

Both guys are overrated. They fought at 140, one didn`t even care to make the weight. In reality they belong to 147.
Lets see what they can do at 147, in their true division.
They didnât say the weights. We know from the Prograis fight that Haney was at least 165lbs. We know from Garcia having issues making weight that he may have been 165-170lbs as well.
The biggest welterweights in history, that I know of, top out at like 170lbs, like Joshua Clottey. This was a 140lb fight and they are already weighing like the biggest welterweights. Both should move up to 147.
