Would a Ryan Garcia win be good or bad for boxing?

Horrendous. The guy probably isn't the draw he used to be any more and he's extremely unprofessional. Garcia brings attention to the sport, he is far more popular than Haney as a personality, and is a far more exciting fighter. You never know what's going to happen. Oh and we had a hype job getting exposed which is always great, so overall its a huge positive for the sport. If Haney won it would have been a continuation of stale boring status quo. Using professional as a metric is laughable. Those are often the most boring fighters which put people to sleep and hurt the sport.

I'd be curious to know who Haney would pick for his come back fight. This is what I had hoped would happen. Haney didn't go through what Loma-levels went through. He was fed with fighters that gave him half-baked development. It may not be ideal, especially business-wise, but it is better to get exposed sooner than later.
