Jalolov knocked Torrez jr. out in world championship quarterfinal.
Jalolov also won the last Olympic final between these two.
Now are these guys promising prospects in pro boxing.
I think they both will make it to become top contenders. I wonder if we will see a pro fight between them.
I’m sure Richard would love to avenge that KO (which was brutal). Can he?
I’d love to see him try!
That was the second time Jalolov ko'd Torrez. I cant quite remember but think the first time was internationals. Check out old footage on youtube.
I dont seem him avenging that. Just a lot of height and reach to overcome.
EDIT: I just realized that another poster above linked to footage. Maybe that's the first ko. I didnt open and watch it.
They fought two times so far, Torrez was 20 years old when they first fought (With Jalovov knocking out Torrez) and in the 2020 Olympics he had just turned 22 years old after a month during the rematch, Richard fared much better despite Jalovov with a professional with an 8-0 record.

Can he win now? Not sure, it's possibly, just hope they run it back as professionals.
It’s quite simple what the problem is ; no p orno stache
Can’t believe none of you figured it out
Jakey the Joke Boy realized it for obvious reasons
Ok , he swings that way
Lmfao
So did Jalovov improve since they fought.
Possibly, hope they run it back, Jalovov currently has a record of 14 wins against the same level of opposition he has been fighting so far, at the rate Torrez is going he have the similiar record at the beginning of next year.
Jalovov was already at his physical prime when they fought in the rematch at 27 years old. Currently he is 29 years old. Not sure if he had that much improvement technical wise unless he has a superb coach. But will see in his next match.

He didn't win, but he has improved after turning pro.

The Olympic gold pay him more money. That is why he is focusing on the Olympics for now. Jalolov said he will focus on his pro career after the Olympics.
He easily beat Torrez several times before.

At this point, I think Top Rank is guiding Torrez in a similar manner that Matchroom handled Babic: feeding him limited opposition that he can blow out and placing him on undercards to excite the crowd.
I think Torrez is obviously more skilled than Babic but I'm not sure his career arc will be all that dissimilar.
Jalolov's professional career has been underwhelming this far and he's a bit older. He looks the goods against very limited opposition, then again so did Makhmudov at this point. All it takes is one opponent with some skills who won't just lay down and will punch back....
I get your point, but Jalolov is well skilled heavy handed southpaw, not a big stiff like Makhmudov.

When he decides to focus on pro boxing, he beats many top 20 guys easily. I mean, honestly, anybody believes that Wallin beats Jalolov?

Jalolov should focus on pro boxing. I think the guy can become a world champ in 2 years. His next fight should be a gatekeeper like Forrest, Rice, Franklin, Cusumano. Just keep him active.
I think he already beats many top 10 guys.

Big age difference between the two.
Jalolov is going the traditional eastern euro route, he's 30 this year, hasn't fought a soul and is heading back to the Olympics for some reason
Torres is only 24 so he's real young and should take the time to develop his skills and experience.
Maybe in a few years this would be a fight of interest but I'd prefer they don't rush torres, there is absoloutley no need.
