Now wait just a minute.
Then this:
But see, I'm okay with this:
So which is it - because I saw across the forum AND commentary that Fundora did nothing but jab all night long. Is the issue that Tszyu, with blood streaming into his eyes, couldn't do anything? Despite arguably dominating the first three when he could see?
Hey my man, where did you quote this from? I can't find it in this thread anyway, lol. I was also super drunk that night so I don't even recall typing that up at all, haha.
That said, yeah I don't think Fundora should have been the winner based mostly on a jab. Tim was landing the cleaner punches, even with the blood. The best thing would be for Fundora to give Timmy that rematch. Right now, it's a big, Tim got f**ked and Fundora gets to reap the rewards from it.
Sampson said its a verbal rematch agreement which will probably let them fit in the Errol fight first. It'll work out for Tim either way & might work out better if Errol beats Fundora & then Tim gets to fight Errol.
Sampson is always saying sh^t thats off so who fooking knows. But with how PBC works I tend to think an OG PBC guy like Errol is likely to get in the better opportunity than Tim whos a new school PBC guy & has a promotional deal with No Limit.
That's why it's so easy to get conspiratorial about the whole situation. Fundora lucks into a unification after 51 weeks inactivity and coming off a KO loss, then is the beneficiary of great fortune during the fight with Tszyu's gash, and now an inactive Spence gets to capitalize even-though he's coming off a KO loss and an eye surgery iirc.
Hopefully Tszyu doesn't become inactive...we have no idea how long it'll take to make Spence/Fundora. It could be August/September for all we know. If Tszyu can fight Crawford for the vacant title, he should make it happen.
Tszyu is exercising the clause.
Jokingly said it would be better if the rematch has 8-week prep (he had one week notice against fundora)

4 minutes of excuses and Im an aussie, I don't want to hear any of sht Fundora had his own blood problems with a broken nose and you landed 3 good shots in the first 2 rounds nowhere near having him, its the fight game shouldn't talk about a warrior and the rest are all pu$$ies if you gunna cry a river on a loss, it was a tough fight for both he won suck it up.

Gee, I wonder who to believe
Some manager who chasing money because he wants his cut
or
the WBO who has the right to strip the champion after just designating Bud as the mandatory next fight
I would activate rematch clause just so I can freeze out Spence
That f.ucker needs to work his way up.
Ducked the bud rematch, blamed his trainer for the loss and fired him
blamed everybody but himself
Horrible person doesnt deserve title fight.
I agree. That f.ucker thinks he Money Mayweather or something calling out the shots? Did they forget he got an ass whooping from Crawford last year?
How you gonna get a title shot like that after getting a big beat down. Work your way up from 154.
Tszyu doesn't want that fight again man LMFAO
even if he believes he can win. he has to know it would be a career altering beat down win or lose. Fundora can take his shots. He lost 5 years of his career tonight.
Eh? 1 loss should not define your whole career. It's his first loss though, so what? He can make a comeback like many of those that lost before.

Fundoras manager said there will be a fight in between the rematch, Spence was there but Crawford also posted telling Spence to get in line, Crawford is mandatory.
Lol, I was wrong about Tim. I used to believe he would beat Crawford at 154.
Tszyu is not elite and he will never be. If you lose to Fundora,, you are not elite, lol.
As I said in other posts, Fundora is an opponent that needs a full training camp because he has unique physical attributes for his weight. Tszyu jumped in there and believed he would be able to figure it out, but it isn't that simple. Fundora isn't necessarily difficult to find, even with his freakish dimensions. However, Tszyu isn't accustomed to wasting punches, so he needs to be physically/mentally prepared to miss punches against someone like Fundora.
Fundora's broken nose was from a punch, not an uncommon occurrence. He got his nose busted in round 1 iirc. Chances are, it would happen again in a rematch.
The cut was a huge equaliser and a freak event.
The rematch is well worth making and I believe it's warranted. The outcome wasn't exactly satisfying even if I give Fundora every credit for beating what was in front of him.
I'm not foolish enough to believe the first two rounds mean Tszyu definitely wins, the same as I'm not foolish enough to think Fundora's jab won't be as effective in a rematch as it was in the last 10 rounds.
But there's unfinished business between two well matched fighters here.

Tim needs to take the rematch or he will be frozen out of big fights.
he should not allow haymond to manipulate him into declining his contractual right to a rematch.
Anything can be countered but actually doing it is another thing, Tim cant adapt he stays on line and doesn't change anything round after round that's because he hasn't fought a guy to force him to change it up, his entire game is one two he doesn't throw combination since his first fight, Fundora will be much tougher now that he beat him the first time. There was times in that I though sheeese if you that in front of Crawford youre iced.
I expected Tim to get inside and fold him but that jab in his face turn Tim pedestrian , Fundora also had his own blood problems looks like his nose was broke early he must have swallowed a lot of blood.

Wack sh.it fr fr. Fundora didn't deserve either title fight tonight. And neither tf does Spence for that matter. Fcukin pbc and their bs.
And on the other end, Ginger b!tch has a chance to fight for a belt vs Ramirez....anything to duck Benavidez AGAIN whike claiming it as an attempt to be great.
I thought Fundora won a UD not a split, he won no problems and I had money on Tim.

Fundora's jab can still be countered though. Fundora finally utilizing his attributes doesn't make him a great out-boxer, and it doesn't mean he can't be dragged into exchanges. It was the head-gash that afforded Fundora the opportunity to showcase what he's been working on, and it was also the perfect time to display it because he had an opponent with compromised vision and stamina. Fundora played it very smart by staying behind the jab and trying to maintain distance, and he became champion tonight because of that discipline.
Tszyu's approach is normally too composed imho, and he takes some time to rev up. The blood loss is also something that a fighter cannot plan for. The silver lining for Tszyu is that he can take comfort in knowing that his conditioning held up for 12 rounds while he was leaking like a faucet.

Had nothing to do with the jab in his face all night, Fundora wins again Tim showed he cannot adapt he is one style and that's it.

That’s a little much. You act like Tszyu didn’t just take minimum 5 rounds with significant blood loss.

What he took was 500 flush jabs on his bonce.
I agree, years came off Tszyus career in there.
