A footnote in The Book of Joshua. A furious episode in the Life of Fury and that's all she wrote.
No one need ever see or hear from the overhyped MMA guy anymore. No one ever really did except for the most excellent Turki from the desert.
Surely he's had his fill of drooling ovet the big African MMA warrior by now.
Well played the fool that Francis was. He's made enough dosh to live like a king and succeeded against insurmountable odds to overcome his upbringing.
Time to ride off into the sunset laughing all the way to the bank...
If people dont think Parker hits hard enough why didn't Zhang walk him down and look to bully him like he did Joyce ? Or why didnt Wilder pull the trigger ?
Parker didnt win because Zhang and Wilder had off nights. He won because he was the better boxer, and by that i mean better mentally, physically and spiritually conditioned to perform at that level as a boxer. Not as a puncher or a MMA guy but a pure boxer.
If Zhang and Wilder coulda, they woulda, but didn't and couldn't. No shame in being beaten by the better man on the night. Parker also has Shifu Andy Lee in his corner.
Wilder got crawly bum licker Malik Scott and i have no idea who Zhang has but he needs to do a better job of conditioning his charge before running it back with the mighty Oilskin Parker.
He does not hit hard. He has short arms and no leverage on his strikes.
I really do think Parker hits harder than Francis is used to being hit in mma. Wilder was scared of taking Parker punches.
For a few mil even i'd step into the ring and get KTFO too.
Respect for Ngannou leaving Cameroon as a refugee and getting to where he's set up for multiple lifetimes cash wise.
For his boxing skill, yeah nah. Not even!
Lol...
You're right. The rematch is no longer needed. All I'm saying is that the dude deserve some respect for his boldness to step into the ring with the topmost guys in the HW division.

Not saying Fury didn't train well, only that he took the fight lightly and Joshua didnt.
And no Ngannou didnt win anymore than Zhang did on the weekend just by knocking the other guy down, and i wouldn't trust anything the gypsy dosser says anymore than Fast Eddie Hearn.
They lie!!!
Fury/Ngannou wasnt a fight anyone was calling for and neither was Joshua/Ngannou or would have been made if not for the desert turki and his cashed up posse of murderous camel jockeys.

Fury isn't really a puncher. He's awkward, he's clever, he uses his weight on opponents. In hindsight that's all the stuff that Ngannou is also pretty good at. Those skills were very transferable from MMA.
What he wasn't good at was boxing. And a boxer puncher didn't just beat him, he poleaxed him with every right hand he threw. And it was only a handful of right hands across about 5 minutes. That was all that was needed.
Styles make fights. But no boxer should be that lacking in boxing fundamentals.
It may be true that Fury didn't train well for the fight as you highlighted above but the main thing is Fury fought Ngannou, and a discomforting amount of pundits believe Francis won. Stop disrespecting Francis and stop making excuses for Fury. He did train for the fight for 12 good weeks according Fury himself.

He probably can but who's going to put up money to stage it or buy tickets to see it in person or on-line ?
Ngannou was a clownshow exhibition stay busy fight the desert Turki paid for shïts n giggles.
Fury took Ngannou lightly and got sat on his arse for it. Joshua didn't and sat Ngannou on his arse for it.
Fury's legacy isn't at all tarnished because he got knocked down in a crossover exhibition anymore then if he'd lost to a 'pro' wrestler in the WWE.
Fury's legacy will be defined by beating or losing to Usyk and he knows it.
If Fury can beat Usyk in May I'd be happy if he called it quits to become a 'pro' wrestler and face Ngannou in that medium.
They could fake grapple and hug each other, sniff each others butts and have a great ol time, which i would gladly pay to see. Who wouldn't ?
As for boxing, there's no place for Ngannou to go that isnt a step down and backwards.

Because he got beat by a former two-time heavyweight champion of the world? Come on!
Just last year, we witness this same guy battered Fury from pillar to post. I think Ngannou can still beat many HW guys in the top 20.

Hits hard enough to keep you honest. And has good chin. Probably hits harder than what Francis is accustomed to
He does not hit hard. He has short arms and no leverage on his strikes.
I think he would be better just walking away from combat sports. Hes 37 now (at least) and made a fortune
Nobody will be interested in his boxing journey anymore and hes not competed in mma for over 2 years, theres every chance the pfl champ will beat him.
Not sure about his contract with the pfl is tho
Should’ve never boxed to begin with from a competitive standpoint.
However, he damn sure proved that coke head Dana wrong. Francis felt he was worth more and probably earned more in those two fights than the entire UFC roster will earn in 2024. I commend him for that but now let’s go back to the discipline you’re actually trained in.
If he were willing to start from the bottom I'd have no issue with him boxing. Guys like Vitali Klitschko, Jarrell Miller, and Dillian Whyte came to heavyweight boxing from other sports and did okay. But they started from square one and built themselves into boxers, whereas Ngannou simply jumped the line so he could cash in on sideshow fights. At his age it's probably dumb to start over, but I would have absolutely zero issue if Francis wanted to fight a few guys with under 10 pro fights and then reevaluate from there.
I think Francis should fight jon jones.Any top 10 boxer who hits hard with a decent chin beats francis. So flip, zhang, usyk, Ruiz, parker, Sanchez, jared and even wilder etc etc beats francis
Parker does not hit hard
fury was hopeless in his last fight
AJ was flattened by a pizza and outboxed by a cruiser weight guy twice and sent to a psych ward almost, shouting at guys in the crowd and a hissy fit in the ring
dont get started on some of the other heavy contenders who are up and down like yo yo's
Exactly!...Fury needs to beat Usyk convincingly.
My guess is they'll call it a draw if it goes the distance as it's the only way to guarantee a rematch.
If Fury or Usyk win they would probably retire undefeated and leave the desert Turki hanging out with Hearn talking shite to get AJ his 3 time trash belt championship against whoever is the least riskiest and willing to take a dive for more Saudi blood money.
In my oh so worthless and humble opinion.
You're only as good as your last fight.
r.

ngannou deserves credit for his performance v fury noone can take that from him, he did a lot better than stumble bum and lots of others did lol
u are either high or low in this sport, there is somewhere inbetween also
he had one very good night and one bad night, like a lot of guys have in this sport
You're only as good as your last fight.
Ngannou will never live down the demolition AJ laid on him.
Francis will always be that MMA guy that got flattened in 2 rounds after thinking he could switch to south paw in the first round against a top tier hevyweight and then tried to defend in classic MMA stance only for AJ to send one straight down the pipeline leaving Ngannou unconscious, needing oxygen and probably knee re-construction.
That look Ngannou gave after the knockdowns was worth the price of the fight. No one need see anything more from Francis.
Without the Desert Turkis patronage i doubt anyone would risk anything promoting Wilder or Ngannou again.
They've proved their worth and it was fun while it lasted. Time to call it a day while they still have enough brain cells to enjoy the fruits of their hard earned labour.
