AJ's right obliterates people. He landed it flush on Usyk in their first fight (I can't remember the round) and again hugely in the tenth round of their second fight. Olek was definitely buzzed but shook it off both times.
Thoughts?
Any HW would have gotten KO'd by the punches Ngannou got hit with..
Ngannous not a boxer, he doesn't roll and ride the punches like a boxer can. He took those shots full impact
Many of AJ's stoppages have been accumulation though. He hasnt stopped too many decent fighters with a single shot when fighters are fresh.
No doubt he can crack and you wouldn't wanna be on the end of too many, but his right hand doesn't necessarily obliterate people instantly in the way you say it does, as his career shows.
Plenty of fighters have taken big shots from him and not folded immediately.
If Usyk stood as square on as a Ngannou and took it flush like that, he would be hurt, as would anyone. But that's where boxing ability becomes more important than a chin. Stand completely square on and exposed vs almost anyone with power and you'll know about it.
Well said.

The reason he didn't connect clean is because Usyk is an elite boxer and Ngannou is an 0-2, plodding novice.
Yep. casuals want us to pretend Ngannou is elite boxer.
Ngannou is a garbage and Fury is not any good anymore. Joshua is good, but not the best.

It is very good say at 8-9 out of 10!

It's fine if you want to live in some dream world where form doesn't mean anything in sport but I contextualise performances.
Usyk may beat the best version of AJ, but I don't know that because he's never fought him, he's fought a sub par AJ in the middle of the worst run of form of his career.
Yes, the MIDDLE of it, as in he was very poor BEFORE and after the Usyk fights.
It is what it is, Usyk has 2 8-4 points wins over the worst version of AJ, thats still good, but it is what it is.
AJ never connected clean on usyk the best shots he landed were half cuffing blows.
AJ was very unconfident during the time he fought Usyk, was not sitting down on his shots and not stepping in with authority.
Usyk fought the same AJ that took 10 rounds to finish off a 40 year old Robert helenius and Kubrat Pulev and who never hurt jermain franklin and ran away from Ruiz for 12 rounds.
Let's be real about things.
Operative word was 'alleged'. But you knew that and enjoy being a forum polemicist. You're just not an effective one.
I might be a "forum polemicist", but what does that make of you, chasing me, especially when it comes to your beloved Usyk? It seems I might be effective in exposing a certain type of people because here you are posting over and over only to deflect the fact and make it look like it's only a biased opinion. This is desperate fanboyism.
"Operative word" - just admit it you are so into Usyk that you struggle to admit the guy has a weak body, which you probably consider shameful, but no fighter is perfect.
You tell me. I see you popping up with this narrative frequently, also saying he lost fights which he didn't. Do you think posting it enough times will cause the record books to be altered or something?
Sharing my opinion when we discuss it is "altering record books"? But why would I tell you - you seem to know, don't you? So if I only praise a fighter, will that "alter the record books" making him remembered as even greater?

Gave it another go and decided you're trolling me.
After the head gear ''fights'', the next clip CLEARLY shows Usyk being hit below the belt.

I :lol1: my ass off seconds into the video (head gear !!!!)
I'll give another go soon :lol1:
fifth_root has a fixation with Usyk's alleged inability to take body shots plus seems to have a problem with him generally. Not sure what it stems from.
Thanks for confirming Usyk can't take body punches. What problem could I have with a man I don't know and one that doesn't define anything in my life?
You're obsessively running with a pointless narrative. Let it go.
If we talk about it, then am I supposed not to mention it? I said what is obvious: Usyk's chin is very good, but his body is the opposite. Looks like an obsessive fixation the fact you are so into what I post about Usyk.
I am amused to see another 69 of two Usyk fang...

In the rematch, Usyk survived 30+ body shots from AJ.
Probably took 200+ in his professional career
Why does hating a boxer prevent the hater from being logical ?
Besides that ONE borderline low blow, what makes Usyk's body ''pathetic'' ?!?!?
Besides it wasn't a borderline and Usyk has a history of pretending or literally faking low blows even in amateur fights, how is his body any good? We aren't starting a pointless argument, are we?
Usyk has a good chin and a pathetic body. What Francis showed is not that his chin isn't solid, but that his defence is 0, and so is his movement. AJ's punches landed straight on his face. And it is no secret that if anything, AJ is a very hard puncher.

And he's constantly moving so he very rarely takes one completely flush.
That's what having a great chin usually means.
You get the odd freak who can just take a battering but there are limits to that.
Ngannou took and got up from a great shot in the first round. I rate that. But he was broken for when the next shots arrived.
Sometimes getting up is pure reflex and adrenaline.
Sometimes that first knockdown wasn't the best punch, just the right punch at the right time.
Gatti took punches, granted, from other C listers, but he ate them well.
I don't see Francis pushing his boxing career further.
Time to take the money and run.
