Am I the only one that finds Beterbiev a little overrated?

Ok, but Beterbiev never faced a mover like Bivol. We only know Beterbiev can land on slow statues. There seems to be some confusion between Bivol and Usyk (amateurs) as far as movement. Bivol has a wide stance and stands right in front of you. He doesn't angle like Usyk nor does he move fluently like young Erislandy Lara. A good comparison b.c Canelo high guards a bit like Beterbiev and Beterbiev is mixing in shoe-shine punches with his power shots. Bivol will not be in perpetual motion the whole fight. That is unrealistic. There are points Canelo is throwing a double uppercut and a shot to the plexes before Bivol moves off of the ropes The thing Bivol rips combos like Amir Khan but controlled and he knows when to get in and out but a very, very hittable. Stylistically he isn't going to just go in and there and box circles around Beterbiev. One needs to come in for his combos while the other guy's lead foot always keeps him in front of you. Overrated meaning 90% guys here expect him to knock Bivol´s head off. I just don´t see it that way. I haven˙t seen anything from Beterbiev which would make me believe he wins this by a KO. Beterbiev needs his best fight ever to win this. It's going to be a damn good fight, that's all I can say. Either Bivol puts on a masterclass boxing lesson or Beterbiev KO'es him. Boxing is about hitting and not get hit. Beterbiev gets hit too much. And he is slow. Again, nothing personal, but I don`t believe he beats much younger guy with elite distance contorl. He is old. And he has a trading type of style that is not ideal for defense. In his case he is strong as a bull with a chin or iron Offensively he has gotten better with timing and accuracy with age. But he is not as quick as he was when he was 25, 30, or even 35! This fighter with elite distance control better have a grade A chin, good mobile feet, and a gas tank the never run dry to win. AB forces his man to confront his physicality.

Some great fighters make a career taking two punches to give one. Boxing is about skill, but its also about toughness, physical strength, mental fortitude, strategy... It may be difficult for Beterbiev to land the kinds of body shots that he needs to in order to take Bivol's legs away. But I have seen Dmitri buzzed. If Artur catches him, it could mean trouble. He has TKO wins over the current #4, #5, and #7 Ring LHW's. That's more wins over top 10 ranked LHW's than any other LHW. Therefore he's properly ranked at #1. As far as the P4P list goes, him being #5, the thing with the P4P list is that after #3...historically, and just from my observation, you can rearrange #4-10 in whatever order you want and it really won't matter. Nobody would care if Bivol was #4. Look at Spence, his last fight was a really bad TKO loss, a shutout. But he's in front of Tank and Jesse Rodriguez. Tank's last 5 wins he went 5-0 with 4 KO's over Ryan Garcia, Hector Luis Garcia, Rolly Romero, Isaac Cruz, and Mario Barrios. Rodriguez last 5 fights he went 5-0 including wins over Sunny Edwards, Rungvisai, and Carlos Cuadras. But Spence is in front of them still. So it's weird. Canelo fought a 154lb fighter in his last fight, and didn't even KO him, but he's #4 P4P. I'd say Beterbiev is properly rated though. He's earned his spot by having TKO wins over 3 current top 10 LHW's.

Go straight to the facts. People say, he is a master boxer with a great chin and a good defense. That just can`t be true, because we all have witnessed Callum Johnson dropping him and we all have seen Beterbiev`s face after Browne fight. Beterbiev is always in some bloody wars. But all these fights have something in common. All guys he has fought were statue targets and they all wanted to take him out at some point. I don`t care if he is a friendly family man, I can just comment what I see in the ring. I see the guy fighting statue targets and punchers with zero defense. he has a great chance to prove me wrong on 1.6. I can`t wait. because in that fight I will see what he really is. Again, I have nothing against Beterbiev as a person and I have nothing in Bivol`s favor as a person. If Beterbiev can win, well, I salute to him. Well since that division sucks.
