Stanionis vs Vergil left us with blue balls after 5 cancellations and now after teasing us with him against thurman they instead make thurman vs tszyu . Is this guy gonna get a fight soon? hes wasting prime years sitting idle. Boots vs Stanionis please???? Is he a PBC fighter? I remember him saying he'd fight Ennis but he needed a tune-up which is fair. I haven't seen much of him but I don't trust some of the stuff PBC does which is a lot like Arum in the past. I could see them trying to feed him to Ennis with a short camp and no tune-up to raise Ennis's profile.

I heard Subriel Matias was offered Stanionis. This fight doesn't make any sense to me, but then again who saw Thurman moving up to 154 to fight Tszyu or Isaac Cruz moving up to 140 coming.

And casuals don't know who tf Boots or Stanionis are so I don't think it does THAT much for either with casuals unless its built up as a unification later this year or next. Unless either guy gets a name guy they are yrs away from having a serious casual fan interest in them. Ppl know who they know & don't know new guys til they beat a guy they know or after yrs of hype & growing of their image & brand. Both suck at social media too so neither is likely to be huge whoever wins between them long term. If I was either guys manager I'd hire social media ppl to get their name out there daily with tweets & videos. a different game these days. You can suck at boxing & get a fanbase these days so it sucks two mfers with legit skills are still so unknown. He had very looong periods of availability and the Boots camp showed no effort to get him. And now the man needs a tuneup and justifiably so. Stanionis was on someones pod a mo or 2 ago saying he'll fight ANYONE next EXCEPT Boots lol. He said he needs a warmup before he'd do that fight. Hope he can get a tune up on a smaller card sooner or at least on the non-tv portion of the March 30th card. He posted about 2023 being an absolute waste for his career on NYE. Hope he has an active ‘24 with a big fight in the mix.
