Here's how I see the fight (and I was right about Fury vs Ngannou, one knockdown but outpointed)
Joshua can fight like his young self - and win (which I don't believe he will dare to do)
He can fight like his second incarnation against Ruiz - and win.
However, Joshuas stiff and compact style vs Usyk would probably back-fire against Ngannou.
Now, Joshuas style in Ruiz 2 might not work against a build like Ngannous. Remember, even Fury did not attempt stick and jab.
I predict we will see a third style from Joshua and that he will win on points safely.
It's not out of the question that Ngannou wins the fight.
I do think Joshua is simply too experienced at the end of the Day.
Ngannous needs more fights before he can go all the way. He needs to increase his output in rounds and take more chances. At the cost of gassing
Joshua is a bit chinny though....
A definite opinion on AJ v Ngannou. AJ wins by KO. If he can't beat this guy decisively he should retire. Ngannou looks overrated to me on the basis of one fight against
an extremely poor and off-form Fury. Top heavyweights should beat this guy.
Ngannou is one of the biggest outliers in boxing I've seen as a guy with no serious roots in boxing except his desire to box from his youth. He's clearly got skills. If he'd have went into boxing at a more appropriate age I think he'd have touched a belt or maybe even massively changed HW boxing history with his reign.
I really don't feel comfortable saying he beats AJ or AJ beats him. I think the guy we saw fight Fury now with a lil more exp & pro ring confidence beats AJ, but I also think Davison in the corner will be very helpful at developing a plan to beat a better than Fury saw version of Ngannou.
Ultimately I think I lean more Ngannou's way cuz idk that AJ doesn't mentally lose it after getting hit niiiiiice by Ngannou & I fully expect AJ to get to feel Ngannou's power. And HW is the division where power most often negates talent.
Let's not forget that Joshua has lost several times and is just in the sport for the money according to himself. He's not going to fight for it like his life depends on it
Ngannou is a lot tougher than him. But still, Joshua is an elite "boxer puncher" .unlike the finesse boxer Fury last time around.
According to researchers, it's your brain vessels that determine how easily you shut off the brain/get knocked out cold. Not neck, mentally, etc.
Yeah when the brain shakes inside the skull to a certain point it shuts down
Having anything to reduce the impact and protect the brain will help such as a thicker skull or tensing the bracing for impact hence why the ones you dont see knock you out
It's also why the chin is the sweet spot because it makes the head spin with the punch and the forehead is solid and braced from the neck
A stronger neck won't protect all angles of punches or certain parts of the head but it certainly can absorb the pressure that you recieve
If Ngannou can successfully counter
Fury, he can do the same to Joshua.
He looks very hungry and dedicated in his training. I don't know if AJ can recover from the shot that dropped Fury.
He recover from Klitch...
I think Aj by ko.
Where is it scientifically proven its a myth?
Having a strong neck and traps will most definetly help when absorbing punches and limiting your head spinning

I do not think its at all difficult to predict neither will it be competitive.
Unpopular but I think AJ actually does just about everything better than Fury.
Everything AJ does gets overanalysed, no matter how awful Fury is people just downplay it and make excuses for him and act like he can do no wrong.
I don't think AJ will be safety first in this fight or look to poke and prod his way to a decision, this is how you give a guy like Ngannou hope and confidence.
Ngannou is terrible and will just be stood static, chin up, a ridiculously wide guard inviting everything down the centre but unlike Fury, AJ has the basics down and athleticism. The hand speed, the crispness, accuracy, technique & power. He'll just bomb him straight out of there. I don't care how good his chin is or how he tough he is.
I agree on just about all counts.
I fully expect Joshua to do what a championship calibre fighter should do to a guy like Ngannou, just as he did with Wallin. This will be clinical and very one-sided.
If Joshua's confidence doesn't fail him he should win fairly easy. He's going to hit Ngannou with clean power punches over and over again. It may take more than a few but eventually that chin is going to crack.
...if Joshua's confidence doesn't fail
Joshua can't knock Ngannou out by power alone. Neck has nothing to do with chin endurance . That's a myth.
Wladimir had a big neck and he was chinny as hell.

There are always exceptions but guys with omlec shaped heads and short thick necks are generally better at taking punches than peanut heads resting on top of a pencil neck.

Joshua is a more difficult fighter to hit consistently than Fury 'Joshua has fought at a higher level than Fury, and has still been decked the least number of times'.
Fury has been banged up and decked at, domestic, European, world and elite level.
If you are a powerful puncher, and a big part of your game is 'Just to land that power punch? Then fighting a clumsy fighter like Fury, would be better than Joshua'.
I honestly don't quite think, you are critically thinking about what you are saying mate 'You have just went with the stereotype that Fury is more difficult to hit than Joshua, when in reality? That is not correct'.
Tyson Fury has always been a extremely clumsy fighter, there are always points in a fight where 'He will produce unforced errors, that I have seen no all-time great Heavyweight produce as frequently. And that is why really, I don't rate him as a all-time great Heavyweight thus-far'.
Even when Wladimir Kiltschko decided to throw caution to the wind vs Tyson Fury 'For me I could see how the rematch, would of played out. Fury definitely was not going to beat Kiltschko, with the tactics he used in the first fight'.
Tyson Fury vs Wladimir Kiltschko 'I will give Fury credit. In that fight he displayed a good defense, but against a Kiltschko who was not really fighting with much of a offensive attitude'.
If Joshua goes into this fight vs Ngannou, 100% not wanting to get hit 'Then he most likely will not be hit with many power punchers'.
Note: This version of Joshua, has better movement and footwork than Fury. And it is not just about movement, Joshua typically does not make mistakes 'Very rarely will Joshua make a unforced error. Joshua is a more fundamentally sound, and technically correct boxer than Fury'.
Just like Ngannou, people may mock Joshua 'But Joshua for the most part in fights, holds his shape. Joshua is not a clumsy, technically all over the place fighter' Joshua is a Olympic Champion.
I just believe those attributes combined with his greater punching power than Fury 'Ngannou will understand, real quick? So this is what the Heavyweight Division is about'.
Tyson Fury was only ever going to out point, and beat Ngannou in a game of tick 'But Fury did not even achieve that. Francis Ngannou won the fight'.
Francis Ngannou is facing a different kind of threat vs Anthony Joshua 'Ngannou can potentially be beaten up in this fight, never-mind being out pointed'.
Ngannou vs Joshua, may suffer the worst beat down of his entire combat career 'There is the potential for that to happen' etc.
Its because Fury is so unorthodox, add he looked like he hardly trained, add he is slipping to where I feel Ursk will beat him now , and then we have now Ngannou is in with a class boxer that does things by the book, hard straight jabs and crosses that will tee off on a an MMA guy, in a way I think the Fury fight is a smoke and mirrors thing with Francis in relation to being in with a world-class boxer, Wallin gave Fury loads of trouble and AJ smoked him, I think when AJ is in the zone he is very hard to get around, but on the flip side there is a fragility to him that any HW can capitalize on if they clip him good. But I wouldn't count on being able to counter Fury in the same light as countering AJ as the punches come very different.
Joshua has been neutered by big punches so that's only true in theory. I think he Will hit less Hard than Fury
It's sad that now there's proper drug testing in the sport America hasn't had a legit world champion for almost 30 years.
Look forward to spending the rest of your life talking about how bad the division is, lol.
I think we spoke about this already
I’m all in for legalizing it
No more bullchit , who ever has the most money gets the better treatment which hindsight it hasn’t been proven that less get you W’s
Bodybagz had a great thread about this which made much sense
You think chisora beats Ngannou? Or that kickboxing bum who was supposed to fight AJ?
Or that Swed with no chin? Or that Bronze bomber who can't take Furys on-slaught?
Many boxers beat mma guy
Just need to box
Anyone with good ring iq makes circles around him
Ffs he’s 0-1
Tell me , who’s your favourite ?
Since you flip flopping like fish out of water

Is that the Wlad who was washed up and then he wouldn’t rematch ?
That better Fury ?

Your the only one here saying it
MMA guy can beat the 3, 4 , 5 or wtv but Fury awesome
Not here to argue but pick a side and stick with it

Depends if you work on that neck
Can be a game changer if it’s not just left there
Anyway couldn’t give a fugh about that it’s a whole other discussion
