It depends who you beat for the belt. If you beat someone inferior to Boots how is it more valuable? A legacy is ultimately defined by the opponents you beat. Most People know the con by now, of moving up and getting belts from mediocre champions rather than facing the real smoke in your own division. Charlo is the current lineal champion. If he vacates, the lineal fight would likely be between Tszyu and Crawford unless one of them is beaten first (and provided Crawford gets at least one win in the division first so he can be ranked). Both Charlo and Tszyu would be much, much better wins than Ennis. Not even remotely close. And you don't even seem to understand how lineal championships work. They have nothing to do with any belts and you can only win them by beating the current lineal champion or, if it's vacant, by winning a fight between the consensus top two fighters in the division. So there's so such thing as becoming lineal champion by avoiding smoke. By definition, if you became the lineal champion that means you beat the top fighter in the division.
