They're been around for how long, 5 years, 6 years? Yet there's no sign of them slowing down.
HBO left, Showtime, Fox Sports, Spike, etc. Won't be surprised if ESPN leaves also as boxing just plays second, third fiddle for them. Amazon will have their probationary period for 2 years, 3 years, then goes back to what they're good at.
I still liked it, and I wish we had weekly free fights again. Closest thing is Probox, which is usually surprisingly good, and great at times.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll look into them.
Yes, all those fighters were there but they fought totally outclass opponents. They would outline that nights entire card and you could pick the winners at a 95% clip.

Are we talking about the same thing?
Back in the 90s, I was a teen who liked boxing. Weekly fights were free, and dudes fought often. If what you're saying is true, I wasn't discerning enough to notice.
I specifically remember pernell, angel manfredi, gatti, morrison, dlh, young mayweather coming up, and a whole bunch of others whose names escape me right now cuz Im tired.

Really? Any boxing coverage is good of course but 90% of FNF cards were obvious mismatches.

ESPN hasn't changed their treatment of boxing. I was a regular viewer of FNF. Most times they won't even air fights that's already going on at the same time with football which most times extends to overtime.
Fnf was the best.
Not sure boxing is even third fiddle for ESPN. Go to ESPN and scroll down the page to where you can select an icon for the sport you want to watch. The boxing glove is 14th in the list, even after track and field.

Top Ranks ESPN contract ends next year. A few rumours that it won't be renewed...
Amazon showed in the UK that they won't invest in sports once they add the basic delivery subscriptions they want (they didn't try to renew EPL rights)
DAZN always seem on the brink - but they bring way more fight nights that anyone else, do who knows.
Future for boxing may lie with who the Saudis decide to fund.
I could see it.
Jose Ramirez has left TR/ESPN and joined GBP/DAZN...if that's an indication to something.
Arum got nothing for Ramirez. He's letting them go this time, without suing.

Yeah, he didn’t want any tough fights lol. He turned down Regis, Taylor rematch and Teo Lopez. Gonna go to Golden Boy and fight JoJo Diaz

no espn is the top dog. They've been around forever and can fund boxing with other sports. Dazn needs boxing to survive.

i think they would be better off if they start pronouncing it "dazzin"
When I first read about it, that's what I called it. Only after I subscribed and heard them pronounce it "Duh Zone" did I realize I was in error.
For the record, I agree. "Dazzin" sounds easier on the ears.
